Fish King

This is the best place I have found in the area to buy seafood. Incredibly clean and well presented, great selection and amazing service.

I go here once every 2 or 3 weeks for lunch. I typically try to show up closer to 11:50 a.m. to beat the lunch crowd and to grab a table...it gets pretty busy! I love their grilled fish selections and their green salads with a sesame ginger dressing. When going their with friends we order and share a piece of fried fish and some yam tempura (yum)!

Fresh fish all the time, the poké here is okay. They serve food as well. Gets busy must days at lunch time

I was surprised to find a good fish monger tucked away from all of the other retail hotspots. They have a great selection of fish, very knowledgeable staff and good prices. It's a bit out of the way, but worth it if you don't want grocery store salmon again.

Best selection of fresh fish around. Also a great place for lunch, though be prepared to wait as it can get rather crowded at lunchtime. Has a nice, if small, selection of cupboard staples including lots of Asian goods. Sake and wine also available to take home.

Fish King is actually a seafood market first and a restaurant second. The prices for fresh seafood are fantastic for Los Angeles and service is great. The retaurant food is great tasting and prepared quickly but seating is very limited and you eat in the presence of the market shelves and refrigerators.



Overall this place is a gem. The taste, service and prices far outweigh the atmosphere and crowds.

Fish King is a fantastic local restaurant and market if you like a broad variety of good, fresh seafood. Whether you chose to eat in or take out, or even purchase and cook at home, the quality of Fish King's seafood is outstanding. I've had their sushi and poke - both excellent - but my favorite is their Ahi Tuna Sandwich.

Satisfy your fish and chips craving. Buy a bunch of whole branzinos for your smoker. Take home a slab of salmon filet for your cedar plank. Grab some veggies or some marinade or what the heck some freaking seaweed. This place does it all and does it all well. It's a Glendale institution and there's a reason people drive here from well outside Glendale. Give yourself 10 or 15 minutes to wait out the line and go home perfectly satisfied.

As a poke fan, I get the tuna poke bowl pretty much every time. You get a good portion with rice for $10 plus tax. The fish is always fresh and it has a great neighborhood feel.

The tuna hoke bowl is delicious and a great lunch treat for ~$10. Parking & table seating is sparse so get there early. The take out sushi is also fresh (made daily) and a good value. Lots of great variety.

This joint is the TRUTH! I've had their fresh seafood options that I've taken home and cooked myself and the various plates they cook in-house and everything was awesome!!!

This is my favorite lunch spot. I always order charbroiled fish with lemon and butter with white rice and steam vegetable as sides. They have all kinds of fish to choose and everything is so fresh and good but my favorites are red snapper and halibut. I also always ask if they have Mario's special chimichurri sauce. It's soooo good!



You can choose french fries instead of rice and french fries are so crispy and tasty. What's so amazing about this place is the price; lunch only costs $6 - $15 and you can get amazing fresh fish dishes. Once you know about this place, you could never order fish dishes at other restaurants!

Fish truly is king! It's so much healthier than red meat and poultry, and it tastes great if cooked and prepared the right way. Fish King is the place for that. If you want some perfectly cooked fish, take a stroll into this market/restaurant. You can get all sorts of fish and side dishes for a reasonable price. You can expect to pay around $20 for a fish dish at a normal restaurant, but here it's much cheaper - and tastier.



I love the mahi mahi, but the salmon and halibut are also winners! This place is always busy so expect to wait a little bit for a table to open up. The parking lot is small, but there's plenty street space too.

Only place I'll go outside of Santa Monica Seafood and the commercial brokers. Friendly and a great galley too.

Fresh fish and seafood at the counter. The deli is great for lunch though it gets crowded. The staff are helpful and very nice. Call ahead and ask them if they have their ahi tuna poki, which is some of the best poki you can have on the mainland. Great little market to help you cook up those gourmet seafood dishes.

This local fish market is the only place I will by my fish and chicken. The quality is outstanding and it is always very fresh. The staff is very friendly and always helpful if you need something they don't have. I also recommend the "Galley" for take out for eating right there. Don't go anywhere else....this store if the "BEST"!!!!

They have very good combo plates. I got the sword fish combo that comes with fried rice, soup, and vegetables. The quantity is plenty and the taste of the fish is very fresh. They put it onto skewers and dye the fish red. Also, the clam chowder is quite hearty. Definitely check it out!
