Walmart Supercenter

It's always busy and yes their service at this location is poor. I usually try to go only during off hours. I read some comments on here and amazingly stupid. This Garfield location is located in BERGEN county and BLUE laws still apply - that's why you couldn't purchase jeans. Clothing and certain items cannot be purchased on Sunday.

Ordered 2-6 foot subs, spicy /bbq chicken wings, cheese and vegetable trays for a party. Employee was very helpful and friendly. I have never had an employee be rude or not help me find a product. As a matter of fact, I have been escorted to the eisle of the product. And by law nothing other than food can be sold on Sunday's do to Bergen County Blue Law. If in doubt google Bergen county blue law.

This place has deteriorated badly since first opening up, the service or rather lack of service from its employees is unbelievable, ask someone where something is and they say they dont speak english or dont know and wont find out, found shelves empty lots of times so they are not keeping up with stocking the shelves with popular items, The Great Value brand they sell is totally worthless, the milk tastes like medicine loaded with so much artificial hormones undrinkable. While trying to shop yesterday two young teenagers were walking through the store blasting rap music and singing along to the filthy lyrics. Not worth going there for any reason.

Went there to fill out an application.
I was told to go online and do it. This unacceptable, what if I don't have a computer?

Everyone working at this locations is an idiot. You ask for help, you don't receive it. You ask for a manager, everyone twiddles their thumbs and pretends to call a manager. The assistant managers are stupid and don't do anything to assist the customers or help diffuse any situations. The employees are ridiculously rude and again, incompetent. I will never, never shop in this store, nor will I make any online purchases to be sent to this store. Everyone here should be fired and the walmart should be shut down.

Never really been a fan of Walmarts, but until yesterday I felt they did have pourpose. I went into this Walmart at 1:30am as I needed jeans after the fly fell off of mine. So I went into this Walmart. The asisle the jeans were in was roped off. So I ended up going around the barricade. Grabbed my size and tried to pay. I was told bynthem it is against the law to sell clothing on Sunday. After getting nowhere at the store level I left. When I woke up I went to Marshalls, they were not only open but more than happy to ring me up for my purchase. I asked my cleints attorney today who is also a municipal prosecutor if it was against the law to sell clothing on Sunday and was told that the law was repealed in the 70's and declared unconstitutional in the 80's. I will probably never be shopping at a Walmart again.

I'm actually surprised by all the negative reviews for this location. I'd think they would say the one in Saddle Brook, which is closer to me, is bad. I choose to go a bit further to Garfield because I find it clean and I've never yet run into a rude employee. I agree that the check out lines tend to be long and slow but otherwise, it's worth it to drive the extra 7 or 8 miles. The only downfall is on Sunday since they are in Bergen County, the only section open is the grocery store due to blue laws. Otherwise, I'll continue shopping here. I find it clean and organized and always has everything I'm looking for.

Uh...this Walmart has probably one of the worst customer service managements..whenever you come here you won't be in line less then 30 minutes. Typical corporate relationship with customers - cold and indifferent.

service at this Walmart is so terrible. you have people walking around with headphones in their ears. when I say people I mean those workers and managers that are supposed to be on the floor helping us. they are too overpriced to be a Walmart too. I bought one of those v8 juice at the Garfield Walmart $2.50 plus tax. when I went to the Walmart in North Bergen it was only 1.98 and no tax..pls don't bother going here. I will never come here again not even for an emergences..u wanna go to a good walmart? Go to north bergen walmart..they're are excellent over there, and they the have that blue law crap either.

Horrible Walmart! Cant find items on shelf... Be prepared to be in checkout line for at least 25 mins. They have 20 counters but at a given time only 5-6 are open.

Dear Walmart Shoppers,

The Walmart in Garfield NJ is by far the worst walmart I have ever been to. Firstly, a majority of the staff has a very rude way of speaking and dealing with there customers. They should take resumes when decided who to hire or not. Especially when choosing managers. I believe her name is Nadia, one of the store managers. Rude to the max, absolutely no patience, let alone social skills. Walmart should reconsider her out of everyone since she is a so called manager. (Cannot manage to smile, speak in a friendly tone, display patience towards customers, and the best part is she literally, and I quote, used these directs words towards a guest, not an employee, a guest, ' You're wasting my time, I have a lot of things to do!" Before revisiting this Walmart, I would make sure they hire a friendlier staff that will actually take time and help a guest out with their need. After all, it is their job, if they cannot follow through with a little kindness, what are you paying them for?

Very disappointed with the service and goods offered in walmart. I went shopping yesterday and most of the shelves were empty. No bread...no soaps...no toilet tissue...no deodorant...no pet food etc. WHY SHOP THERE? HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE!!!

I love that they are open 24-hrs & you can find anything you need for your home all in one place... the only thing i would suggest are some self check out lanes or more registers open b/c there are times your waiting longer on line then searching for what you need.
