Where to begin? We have had continuous issues with forwarding our mail AND holding mail. 9 Times our of 10, mail is left in our box on at least the first day of a scheduled hold or forward. It sits there unless we happen to ask someone to check. I have resorted to placing an obstacle in the mailbox with HOLD or FORARD written on it to keep the carrier from leaving mail. They certainly don’t pick up the mail that is mistakenly left in the box.
We waited a good two weeks for mail to get to our forwarding address on one occasion and at least a week of mail never reached us at all and that was with paying for the mail to be sent priority.
We got an email Sunday that our held mail would be delivered yesterday. Got in late and found one box and 4 pieces of letter-sized mail in the box, after we were gone 10 deliverable days. What is going on?
We have days when we are here and receive just 1st class or just letter-sized mail-no third-class, fliers, ads or magazines. We often see magazines we subscribe to on the newsstand long before we get ours in our box.
I complained right up the chain, starting with “Tom” over a year ago and spoke on the phone with several people up the line. Loads of “We’ll take care of it!” While nothing happens. The female supervisor at the post office is extremely unfriendly and seems determined to accommodate customers as little as possible. “Give me your number and I will call you back” simply means she won’t. This is the person who is in charge of the priority forwarding and the person who informed me that there was no forwarding request for our mail when we didn’t receive it and after I had paid over $150.00 for the service and had the receipt in my hand.
It is by far the worst and most frustrating post office I have ever dealt with—highly unprofessional and beyond maddening. I use Fedex and UPS whenever possible and have put ALL MY BILLS ON AUTOPAY. If I just cancel my magazine subscriptions, maybe they can handle delivering junk.

We, the Stewarts and Bennetts very recently moved to FT Walton Beach FL, from Atlanta Metro GA. We put in change of address about 2 weeks before we started our extra "long" road trip. We arrived at our new residence on 12/13/16., (in pouring rain) A few days later we obtained our lease and went to this post office to get keys to our new mail box and was advised would be 2-3 days to get the lock to match the keys. It is now 5 days and we returned to this location and were advised the lock was changed yesterday. The keys still do not work. No one in the USPS seams to know where our mail is, are they holding it at the P.O. or is in in the box that our key doesn't fit, or has it been returned to sender. Even though stamp prices haven gone down, other services provided by USPS have gone up. So, they are still making a VERY GOOD salary from folks like you and me using or attempting to use their services. And the customer service they are providing to a new resident in their delivery area is VERY POOR to say the least. We are vey disappointed.

I have sent numerous packages that were never received out of state and I've had family send meaningful items out that I never got. I know only use UPS.

The mail carrier decided after delivering my mail to my apartment for over a year that I no longer lived there, even though I signed a new lease. So now my paycheck that I need to pay bills is floating in the system, and in the mean time I'm stuck with no money to pay bills, or even to get gas to go to work...

Why doesn't a Government agency ever answer their phone to answer questions on why my mail is not being forwarded correctly?
