Do NOT go to this doctor

My boyfriend and I went to this doctor approximately a week ago. I was very briefly examined (no drops to dialate my eyes) and was told to buy over the counter reading glasses, 325+ strength.



My previous eye doctor (in another state) advised me not to purchase over the counter reading glasses, as my eyes require two different levels of correction, and purchasing the over the counter glasses would have over corrected the "good" eye.



I questioned him about this and why he had not proceeded to also put drops in my eyes to complete the examination. At that point he had put my boyfriend in the chair and was about the administer the drops.



He politely asked us to leave and told us there would be no charge.



The following week I was seen by a different doctor who advised me I required 250 correction in one eye and 200 in the other.



This is a cattle call! If you do not immediately express an interest in progressives he will dismiss you. Additionally, I have never seen a doctor attempt to examine two patients at the same time!



DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!

better eye store than 4 eyes or walmart eye

I checked out a bunch of eye glasses drs, 4 eyes, walmart eye and costco optical, but ended up at World eyeglasses in fort lauderdale. The doc is great, content lense exam was fast, and have lots of glasses frames there. If your looking for eyeglass frames cheao and fast, theyre a good choice.

Strongly Recommend World Eyeglasses

My husband and I give World Eyeglasses 5 stars. Dr. Enker is an efficient, experienced optician and World Eyeglasses in Fort Lauderdale is his full-service vision store. We weren’t looking for a new eyeglass store, but a friend recommended Dr. Enker and we’re glad we tried him. We both had contact lens exams, ordered new eye glasses frames and prescription sunglasses last month. We will always buy our glasses and contact from Dr. Enker’s eyeglass shop in the future, and we’re sending all our friends.

World Eyeglasses in Fort Lauderdale – Great Find!

Dr. Gary Enker at World Eyeglasses was recommended to us by a friend. Dr. Enker is an experienced optometrist, and World Eyeglasses contains his small but delightful eyeglass shop and optical practice in Fort Lauderdale. Their selection of eyeglasses and frames is superior, and the frame consultant is extremely competent. My husband and I both had our eye exams and contact lens fittings, ordered new eyeglasses frames and prescription sunglasses last month. The total cost for both of us at World Eyeglasses was less than I paid just for my eye exam and frames last year elsewhere.

Superior Eye Center: World Eye Glasses in Fort Lauderdale

We’ve been customers of America’s Best and Eyeglass World and had no complaints, but a friend recommended Dr. Enker at World Eyeglasses and I’m delighted we switched. World Eyeglasses is a small, friendly eye center in Fort Lauderdale with an excellent selection of eyewear and glasses and an optician on site. And Dr. Enker is an experienced eye doctor with a great no-nonsense approach. My husband and I had our contact lens exams and chose our new eye glasses frames in half the time we expected. And for half what we expected to pay!

Dr. Enker is great. His staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable. Not only does Dr. Enker check your eye’s, he’ll tell you ways that you can improve your eye health via supplementation and healthy lifestyle improvements! No other eye doctor has ever cared as much as he does. I tell my entire family and all of my friends to go to him. They thank me :)

i have been to very many eye doctors, but at this location the staff was awesome. So was the dr. he was very thorough and very nice also. the staff was nothing but smiles the entire time i was there. then when i came back they knew my name. it makes you feel good when they do that.

Fast and efficient!

My office had a group lunch at Outback Steakhouse and I found World Eyeglasses next door in the same plaza. After lunch, though I didn't have an appointment, since I was right there, I figured I'd walk in and see if I could get a quick eye exam and some new contacts as I was leaving for NY the following day and was completely out of my supply. To my surprise, they took me in immediately, were very friendly and professional, and had me in and out in a few minutes with two new boxes of lenses. Dr Enker speaks a bit too quickly for my taste, but obviously very experienced and knowledgeable, even going so far as to suggest changes to my diet to improve my vision in the future.



I will definitely be coming back again.
