We started at the bar and were served by Tommy, one of the best servers we've ever encountered . He is a true professional. The appetizers and drinks were excellent. Dinner in the dining room was also delicious and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed listening to the piano player during dinner. The service was friendly and efficient. We had a great experience.

I have been dining at Tropical Acres for over 25 years and have never had a bad experience. It is a wonderful family owned restaurant that not only cares for it's customers but also it's dedicated staff. If you want to have a great night out with excellent food stop by and enjoy the event. They now have a Happy Hour with excellent pricing and wonderful, fresh made appetizers that you can make a meal of. I have watched the generations of family grow and prosper. This is what makes this restaurant different from many others. Go and experience it for yourself.

Went to Acres for the first time to celebrate my sons 21st Birthday. I can not say enough about this restaurant. The food was awesome & the service was excellent. Jackson & Tina went above & beyond our requests. I had to talk to the manager, Michael, to tell the cooks in the back if they can put a rush on our dinner order as we had a limo that would be coming by to pick up my son & friends & he took care of that right away. From the food to the service definitely above expectations. Thank you so much!!!!

I hosted my mothers 50th birthday banquet here. We reserved a private banquet room for 25ppl. Everything was set up beautifully. My mom and her guests were very surprised and happy about the establishment. The food was awesome. The waitstaff were effective and efficient and provided prompt service. Although the overall cost was a $1000 with food and drinks, it was money well spent. This is a family run establishment done right!

After a long week on a cruise ship. The thing we wanted most was a nice dinner and Tropical Acres was a great choice. We did a quick internet search for steak restaurants in the area and based on the reviews we decided to give it a try. Our servers Tami & Joe were both pleasant, knowledgeable and prompt. Our dinners came perfect and piping hot. We also ordered dessert to go as we were stuffed and couldn't eat another bite at the table. The gentleman that prepared our steaks definitely knows what he's doing as we both enjoyed our filet and cowboy steaks, crab cakes & lobster tails. We will be back every time we visit Ft Lauderdale.

This place has a comfortable atmosphere with an old fashioned vibe. This is a classic steak house with a straightforward menu: surf and turf; salads; creamed spinach. The food was great--.I had steak au poivre; others in my party had frog legs, prime rib and lobster--everyone in our party was happy with the food. We went on a very busy Saturday evening and still got great service without an endless wait.

Tropical Acres has been around a long time while most places have come and gone. The food is always excellent and prepared to your liking. The owners and staff cannot be more gracious. I don't look for a special occasion to dine there, just when I want a great meal and outstanding service. Ginette and Tina are always there to assist with your meal and service. The special cut filet is my favorite steak and is always prepared as ordered. My thanks to the entire staff for maintaining such a fine dining establishment. I have enjoyed the food and service for over 24 years.

This was the fourth time I have been to this restaurant and I am more impressed each time. Although it was packed for a Saturday night dinner, we only waited in the bar for about 15 minutes (told it would be 35-40). The service was right on point and was only exceeded by the quality and flavor of the meals. It is no wonder they are still doing a tremendous business and have been doing it since 1949....they are awesome.

Ordered breshetta for an appetizer and it fresh and everything I remember from Italy. I had a 8 ounce sirloin with gargonzola cheese on top and a 4 ounce lobster tail all cooked to perfection. Keylime pie was creamy and the Graham crust fresh. Piano player seemed loud but we were only 4 tables from him.

Absolutely love this place. The food is great, the service is great, the value is great. One of my "go to" places for an occassion. My favorite is the rack of lamb. Love the place.
