Sutherland s Foodservice, founded in 1947, is a producer and supplier of food products to grocers and supermarkets throughout the Southeast. In the 1980s, the company established itself as a broadliner by purchasing Rich & Morgan, the oldest independent grocer in Atlanta. Sutherland's client base encompasses restaurants, educational and health care facilities, bakeries, manufacturers and government institutions. In 1992, Sutherland s became a member of Frosty Acres, a national marketing and food-buying cooperative offering national and private brands, including Restaurant's Pride, Orefresco, Butterful, Frytatious, PerformaClean, Wrangler and Frosty Pure. In 2005, Sutherland s was rated 46th in the Top 50 food service distributors in the United States. Sutherland s Foodservice is headquartered in the Atlanta State Farmer s Market in Forest Park, Ga.
