Great veterinary clinic for your fur babies. We really like the staff. We have good times and sad times, but they are always caring and compassionate.

I have taken my dogs to Dr. Dykes for years but lately the staff in the front is just rude. Especially the tall slender built older women with the long pepper black hair. I do not feel my dogs has been getting the one on one treatment that they did before. I personally have changed vets.

I love Dr. Schriber, he is very competent and caring. This practice is so overcrowded for the facility. The staff cannot keep up with the demands of the appointed patients. They appear to be very caring but so hurried because of the work load. The facility is very outdated and has not been taken care of. Every room I have been in looks like it has not been cleaned in a long time. The wait time before you are put in a room and before you see a vet is unusually long. I will be looking for another vet.

I used this vet for many years and he is good but very money hungry, he has changed from a caring friendly neighborhood vet into a money grubber and has a very unfriendly staff.

Dr. Langston at dykes animal clinic is AMAZING and truly cares about the animals and not monetary gain! He is very affordable and was so compassionate and understanding in our time of need! I highly recommend him to anyone! I drove over an hour to get to his office and can say it was worth every minute!! My dog is doing phenomenal after surgery all thanks to the staff at dykes! I cannot say enough good things!

Called at 1 a.m. on a Saturday night. I work evenings and had just gotten home from work. I have eight cats, three just inherited when my mother passed away a few months ago. Her three year old female has suddenly stopped eating and is very lethargic. I have a lot of experience with cats and usually things like that pass. I was worried enough to call the emergency person on call for this clinic and apparently woke him up. He asked me why I had waited so late to call and seemed very irritated that I had roused him. Didn't ask anything about symptoms or anything else about the cat. Didn't try to call back after I hung up on him. If this is the level of professionalism I could expect from this vet then I'll take my problems elsewhere. Make sure you call about emergencies when convenient for this guy.

Eh...a let down.

Usually this is a decent vet clinic, until my visit today. I came in because my dog hasn't been eating regularly and has been throwing up. They tell me nobody can see my dog. Kind of in shock due to the moderate seriousness of my dogs condition. "Come back later." No thanks.

I have been taking my two cats to Dr Schreiber at Dr Dykes Vet Clinic for two years now. Dr. Schreiber is fantastic and genuine. One of my kitties got very sick and almost died last year. He treated him and tried to keep everything as reasonably priced as possible which I appreciated, because the Emergency Care Vet in Pensacola took advantage of me. He then called a week later on his own time to check on Henry. Excellent customer service and would highly recommend Dr. Schreiber!

We have used Doctor Dykes and his staff for thirty years, and have never had a problem. Dogs, cats, and exotic birds, this staff has treated all kinds of animals without issue. I have no problem recommending them to anyone who loves their pets, and needs help.

I need to let everyone know that my chihuahua-dachshund mix died because I took her to Dykes Animal Hospital on Friday, August 31, because of swelling on the side of her mouth, and they prescribed an antiibiotic that killed her. When I took her to the vet's office, she was happy and rambunctious. We went to this veterinarian because we were forced to evacuate to a friend's house because of Hurricane Isaac. By using a syringe to drain the swollen place, the veterinarian noticed a little blood at the end of the syringe, and declared it an abscess, even though she was not running fever. I told him she had been given Clavamox for months before getting her teeth pulled, because of a kidney infection. He prescribed SMZ-TMP and Clindamycin. She spit out her first dose of the SMZ-TMP on Friday, so Saturday morning, I put it on wet food. She had five doses (two per day) before I realized something was wrong on Monday, so I discontinued her meds and rushed her to my regular veterinarian in New Orleans first thing Tuesday morning. They told me that not only did she not have an abscess, but a swollen gland, that she was now in renal failure, and put her on an IV. By the afternoon, she was much better, able to stand and walk again, and even eating at the end of the day. She died in the night of renal failure. I have tried to contact the vet in Foley. asked them to call my vet for more information, so that this does not happen to another baby, but no response or even acknowledgement that they have received my messages. My dog was elderly and incontinent, but she was in no way sick when she went to that vet's office. SMZ-TMP kills older dogs with kidney issues. I want someone to learn from what happened to my baby girl. I know the veterinarian, Dr. Shriver, didn't mean to kill my dog, but his prescription did. RIP Cleopatra. I would give them zero stars if it was an option. This review won't bring my baby back, but maybe it will help someone else, or maybe some veterinarian will read this and learn from it. That's all that I can ask for at this point.

We have used Dr. Dykes and his associates for over 10 years, and have never had rude or un-professional treatment. So have several of our close friends. But, then again, we aren't snowbirds or yankees......

I was very - surprisingly - DISPLEASED with the Doctor that treated my Cane Corso. He was very impatient and rough with our dog and had no compassion for him as an animal. He seemed ultimately displeased with having to deal with a difficult puppy and more or less told me I should put him down. Our puppy is extraordinarily large for a 6 month old. At 70 lbs. he takes a little more patience, in that he doesn't like to be appraoched quickly where he feels threatened. I feel the dr. was "too busy" and "to hurried" to be bothered. They charged me $96 dollars and didn't even take care of the issue we went in for. They charged me to sedate him and fecal clean up but did nothing about the lump on his head. I will not be returning.
