Stroke RehabilitationBeing accredited by DNV allows San Juan Regional Medical Center to receive reimbursement for its patients covered by Medicare and Medicaid. The DNV NIAHOR accreditation program was authorized by CMS in 2008, and today DNV provides not only hospital accreditation but also Primary Stroke Center Certification.
Primary CareAll individuals are encouraged to discuss potential screenings with their primary care provider on a routine basis. An order from a primary care provider is required when a heart score is indicated. Once ordered by the provider individuals may call San Juan Regional Heart Center at 505.609.6760 to schedule. Heart Scores are available for $99 via cash or credit card (non-billable to insurance).

RadiologyOn test day, patients report to Registration at San Juan Regional Medical Center (801 West Maple Street in Farmington) 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment. Heart Scores will be conducted in the radiology department at the hospital.

Labor and DeliveryThis class invites first time moms and their families to learn the basics of a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum experience. There are six classes in this series, each held in the evening from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at 2325 E. 30th Street. Topics covered include comfort measures, breathing, relaxation, the stages and phases of labor, support person skills, medical interventions in labor and postpartum care. Emphasis is placed on having a healthy pregnancy, understanding the physical and emotional challenges of labor and delivery and getting to know other pregnant women and families. Please register one person per family. Labor support persons are highly encouraged to attend. If registration is full when you wish to take this class, please contact the childbirth educator at 609-2134. The last two classes in the series are Baby Care 101 and Basic Breastfeeding, and include a tour. These are held at the Childbirth Center Classroom at San Juan Regional. Please do not register for these classes in addition to the Childbirth Preparation Series.
