Navajo Preparatory School is a Navajo-sanctioned, college-preparatory school for Native Americans. The school offers classes in science, math, language and performing arts, computers and other academic subjects that provide information on Navajo language, culture and history. It also provides career guidance and individual and group counseling sessions for students. The school s library has a large collection of books on various topics, encyclopedias, dictionaries and other audiovisual reference materials for students and teachers. It offers various extracurricular activities, student clubs and sports programs to students, including basketball, football, cross country, baseball, softball, volleyball and golf. The school also provides other facilities, such as transportation and nutritional food services. Navajo Preparatory School is affiliated by the Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, and is located in Farmington, N.M.
