Bad service dealer

This dealer will lure you in for service and rips you off in the name of caring about you and for your car.
Whenever you take you car for service, they will come up with a list of repairs (necessary and most un-necessary) and over charge you.
I would only ask you to question their repair recommendation and get a second opinion before you make any repairs.

Incompetent and Unreliable

In December of 2010 I was purchasing a hybrid car which had been service by Fairfax Honda. I was told by the owner that the IMA Battery ($4000 cost) had been replaced a little over a year before and maintained a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. When I called Fairfax Honda prior to purchasing the car, they confirmed that the car indeed was still under warranty. Additionally, I had a pre-purchase inspection conducted by Fairfax Honda.

When I talked to Fairfax Honda over the phone about the pre-purchase inspection, I should have picked up on their lack of professionalism and competency. I was transferred nearly a dozen times, never truly getting satisfactory answers to basic questions (I.E. Who worked on the car?)

Skip ahead two months, the IMA has completely failed. I have just been informed that in fact there is absolutely no warranty on the new battery. Indeed, there was never even a warranty to begin with. So I am out a $4,000 dollar service job on a $5,000 car. When I confronted the Fairfax representative and mechanic about being told there was a warranty, they essentially replied, “Whoops, no one should have told you that.” No help was ever offered.

In conclusion: Worst Case Scenario - Fairfax Honda is complicit with scammers selling lemon cars. Best Case Scenario – Fairfax Honda is the least reliable service center I have ever encountered.

I went to them because they had the exact car that I was looking for. The salesperson was extremely rude because I was trying to negotiate for a lower price. The car was almost 40K and I was still treat poorly. Once I got the car home, on the way I noticed several things in the car that were not working. I alerted the sales person right away, only to find out that those parts weren't covered. This dealership says they do a full inspection on all used cars, what I found funny was, every thing on my car that wasn't working was on the list of that that were to be checked out and to be made sure that they were working. Well, the obviously didn't do that with my car. I eventually got so tired of calling them and asking them to fix it, that I finally gave up. I would NEVER buy a car from them NEW OR USED. To be disrespected buying the car, and then them not to honor their word and fix my car, ruined it for me!

Poor service, poor sales, poor business ethics!

I really disappointed with 2014 honda odyssey
I have that and just 9700miles... I am a mechanic for 7 years...so I did oil change in my shop..but I have found that problem with oil filter thread...when I took it out the filter...It is something wrong...and reinstall old filter but It could not tie...I look at the oil filter thread...It something wrong.,,,oil filter must be hand tie only...but I cannot...so I use my tool to tie..so I sent to the honda service center..but service advisor told me that is my fault...so I have to pay for repair...I really upset....I am not that stupid....even I wanted to talk to service manager so I left my name and phone number..but he never call me back...and hugo who is service guy gave me free rental car and a little discount...but it is not the money problem...I really disappointed with odyssey...even I have 7 year 100000miles warranty...but no one can help me....warranty...and service center...no one....

I have to agree with Mocha B. I had an appt with the salesman, Basky, to purchase a new CRV with the price in writing and agreed upon. Once I sat down to sign paperwork, I was told the price was too low and they were going to have to charge me an additional $1200 (shd be $3000 but they were going to give me a deal!) Really? It was a bait and switch thing and I felt so duped and disrespected. Of course, I walked (stormed) out and drove over to TYSONS CORNER HONDA where they treated me with dignity and respect and sold me the car I wanted at the price they had quoted (to match Fairfax Honda's price). DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM FAIRFAX HONDA. Go see Mohamed and Tysons. They know how to treat customers and are respectful to women buyers.

horrible experience

It took about a month to get warranty service estimate and no one ever cared until I called them back and asked what is going on.Now they refuse me for the warranty service job and made me go to somewhere else to start all over.I explained every details that they need to know from the beginning and now they are saying something else. It's just a big mess and waste of my time.

Horrible place to go if you are a single woman. I've purchased two vehicles on my own and I've never been treated with such disgrace and disrespect as I was at Fairfax Honda. Very unfair and will take advantage of you if you let them. If you don't purchase a car from them on their terms, and they've already pulled your credit report, the will report to the credit bureau that you were not eligible to buy a car from them, even after they had already approved you. I learned a few very valuable lessons. #1 DO NOT GO TO FAIRFAX HONDA EVER, especially if you are a single woman; #2 never let them pull your credit report until you are 100% certain you are going to close the deal; #3 THESE GUYS ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS AND ARE NOT NICE PEOPLE AT ALL.

I purchased my first car here. Sam my sales person was full of knowledge about the different models of Accord. Finance was awesome they worked with Sam in finding a model of Accord that fit in my budget and had the important features I desired in my 2012. They made the whole process comfortable and answered every one of my questions fully. I didn't feel overwhelmed or even as a woman taken. I researched carefully the price for my vehicle I wanted and found they offered the best deal in price and finance rate for the DC metro area. I have since had 3 oil changes in there service department and currently use Keith Derrickson as my advisor. He is awesome and I would highly recommend him! He is complete, follows up after I leave to concerns I have raised during my visits. I would highly recommend this dealership both in sales and service to anyone looking for a great deal, or having your vehicle serviced with a worry free feeling. I have also purchased accessories for my Accord from the parts department, and they seem to have a great inventory of parts and accessories. If they don't have it in stock Jim the parts manager and his staff goes above and beyond to locate the part fast where you can get it the same day or the next day if you need it in a rush.
