Clean, cozy and warm. Friendly, professional and attentive service. Plus, it was Pikes Landing boasts one of the most inclusive collections of local arts. Rustic decor. The most striking thing was all the dragonfly stained glass lamps, chandeliers and sconces.

My husband, son and I got here on a Tues night. We are an active military family who has moved here from Texas. We drove and were very tired and had planned on staying at the 7 Gables but because we were treated so rudely and with disrespect, not to mention their sites were disgusting and in poor areas of towns with pot smoking tenants, we left and called Pikes Lodge. We arrived and were greeted with a friendly face, Barbara. I can't say enough good things about this women. She told us about things on Fort Wainwright, she got me a map and showed me points of interests in the city, she physically got on her back outside on the snow and got under our truck to help us find the plug-in cord to plug our truck in. She educated us on what else our truck needed to be winterized for the Alaska weather. She has been "Awesome" the entire time we have been here. Another wonderful encounter here was with Kaye in Housekeeping. She too has gone outside her duties by providing us with information when looking for a house to rent, she took my plant that got too cold from driving here and is currently trying to nurse it back to life. She even brought me some sweaters for my dogs that her dogs can no longer fit in. I have also had encounters with the GM-Patty, the assistant GM-Christena, Debra in Marketing, Ursala, and even the owner, Jay. ALL of these folks here at the Pikes Lodge are very kind and extremely helpful. They have all provided us with valuable information in helping us to establish residency here in Fairbanks. Our household goods have not made it here yet and because of the amenities, atmosphere, cleanliness and customer service we have been given, we really are in no hurry to leave. We love all the fruit they have on their free continental breakfast, and we enjoy their complimentary ice cream, cookies and coffee. The only down side to anything is that the room is too small. But what do you expect with 3 people, 4 dogs and a sugar glider. Thank you Pikes Lodge for everything you've done for my family and I. You will definitely be recommended to others coming into the area. Oh, one last thing, the food at the restaurant here is absolutely amazing as well. A little pricy but worth it. I strongly suggest the Seafood Alfredo or grilled Halibut. Pikes Lodge sign outside their building reads, "Welcome to the friendliest hotel in Fairbanks". That couldn't be more true!!
