        Thank you for visiting Capital City Vineyard online. Who are we? Capital City Vineyard Church was planted in East Lansing, Michigan, in the fall of 2001 by Pastor Kevin Shoemaker as part of the Vineyard USA Community of Churches. We are a local church aiming to be authentic, passionate, and caring as we represent the kingdom of God to the Lansing area and the world around us. Unfortunately, we now live in a time when many people feel that church has become outdated and irrelevant to their lives. Yet at the same time, many people also feel an intense longing for spiritual reality and for genuine relationships, which are two of the main things the church is meant to provide them with. As a local community of faith, our desire is to meet those heartfelt needs by helping people truly connect with God and with one another in authentic, deepening relationships. Our conviction is that passionate spirituality is all about relationships, not about "religion." With all the turmo il and uncertainty in the world around us, there's no time like the present for people to get connected in meaningful spiritual relationships. We believe that happens best through the way, the truth, and the life found in Jesus Christ, and by the power of His Spirit at work within us. As we become followers of Jesus, our relationships with God and with one another can truly be filled with love, joy, peace, and grace.

        Small church w/ a big heart!

        This is a casual & contemporary church that's really friendly and welcoming to visitors. Children's ministry is offered, and the teaching is solid and biblical. If you're looking for a church home where you're not just an anonymous part of the 'crowd', check this place out.
