Located in Boston, Project Bread - The Walk for Hunger is one of the state s leading anti-hunger organizations that work to alleviate, prevent and end starvation situations in Massachusetts. It funds more than 350 food pantries, soup kitchens and food banks. The organization offers the Summer Food Service Program, which provides free meals, as well as educational and recreational activities for children up to the age of 18 at schools, parks, pools and neighborhood centers. It also operates a help line that offers information related to food stamps and nutrition programs for people who face food shortage. Project Bread - The Walk for Hunger provides the School Breakfast Program for children in kindergarten through grade 12. It also organizes the Walk for Hunger, which is a campaign that provides funds for more than 350 emergency food programs in over 130 communities statewide.
