The Santa Ana Star Casino Renovation project included an extensive renovation of the casino floor, conversion of an existing event center which previously housed concerts and boxing matches to new casino floor, and the addition of a new steel structure for a second story mezzanine. The second story mezzanine includes two new bars with high-end finishes, a VIP area, a new stage complete with a $500 thousand audio and stage lighting package and an observation deck. Also included in the scope of this project was the addition of a “quick serve” restaurant, new exterior stucco, terrazzo flooring and re-carpeting of the entire casino.
The Jaynes Special Projects Group (SPG) is our division for handling small-scale commercial, hospitality, and multi-family residential construction. By combining the resources, processes, and admin of a large construction company with the experience and agility of a small, specialized team, we can tackle these quick-turnaround jobs – the Jaynes way.
Demolition
The Santa Fe High School (SFHS) Administration Building – Phase 1 project consisted of four micro-phases, with all renovations, demolition, and new construction focused on enhancing security on the 100-acre campus and updating its facilities. Because the campus stayed open for the duration of construction, we prioritized the reduction of dust and noise to minimize student distraction and environmental disruption. New safety features include concrete retaining walls, metal wall panels, visitor identification technology, and door barricade devices for classrooms to keep students and faculty safe.
You could say that concrete is the foundation of our entire company. In 1946, George Jaynes began a one-man business pouring concrete driveways, gutters and sidewalks for residential customers. Within a decade, his humble company had grown into the largest concrete contractor in New Mexico. Today, Jaynes is a leading general contractor with over 200 employees, building complex facilities for a broad range of market sectors throughout the southwest. read more
The Bloomfield Fire Station features administration offices, a library, conference room, kitchen, and day room with outside patio. The new building also has a lobby large enough to house one of the vintage fire trucks the Fire Chief has been collecting for years. The 2nd floor includes sleeping quarters, laundry, and the exercise/recreation room. The station is one of the few in the area to install the old fashioned ‘‘fire pole’’. The renovated area included new full glass garage doors, a new training room, apparatus bay, SCBA and decontamination/laundry room. The exterior of the building is a weathered metal skin – we installed 3/16’’ thick metal plates, sand blasted them, then applied chemicals to speed up the oxidation process since there is virtually no humidity in the area. The sleeping quarters face south and the steel sun-shade system works perfectly keeping the afternoon sun out of the rooms.
