Downey City Library, established in 1958, is a public library of the city of Downey, Calif. Its collection includes books, magazines, pamphlets, telephone directories, test preparation booklets, songbooks, albums, and audiovisual materials, such as video cassettes, DVDs and CDs. The library also offers audio, large print and international language books. Downey City Library has a reference collection that offers text databases of magazines, newspapers, associations and biographies. It also offers government publications that include books, maps, reports, serials, microfiche and pamphlets. The library s collection for children includes reference materials, paperbacks, and fiction and nonfiction books. Its Web site provides a searchable listing of books.
