BUMMER I waited a long time for a ramp to get me in and out of my house. If there were a fire I would be trapped. I have been trapped for 6 months. I haven't seen another human being in almost as long. I still don't have a ramp and they have called to reschedule. After I cancelled everything for today and set appointments for tomorrow they want to come tomorrow instead. These people are amazing with their excuses and postponements. I can buy a ramp from E bay. I don't need for anyone to waste my time. I have already had my fill of discrimination in El Dorado county. Think about it: if you can't get a ramp any other way you will just have to move out, but if you don't have a ramp you can't move out. So because I consulted these so called experts and wasted time now I will have to wait until my ramp is shipped. Don't believe anything these people tell you over the phone. They told me I needed a permit when I don't. They told me I can't put a ramp on a mobile home when I can. What they mean is they help who they please and when told to discriminate they follow orders. Things will go much smoother if you get wheel chairs ramps from Amazon plus they cost less and there are used ramps. I am thinking that the other things I need for my mobility challenges are going to bog down and I will still be ordering from someone else when things don't get done. Lift chairs are available from many retailers without the added drama. Just a delivery fee and set up is free. I have been sitting here for a week wondering what I did to deserve this run around. Discrimination hurts and keeps on hurting. If you have serious mobility problems don't live in El Dorado county. People don't want to see gimps like me hobbling around the streets or falling down stairs they probably shouldn't be trying to climb anyway.
