General Info

Like most other car rental companies, U.S. Auto Rental has specific requirements that must be met in order to rent a vehicle. Here is the list of those requirements and policies. Age Requirements: Customers must be 25 years of age or older. Driver’s License Requirements: Customers must present a valid state issued driver’s license. Out of state driver’s licenses are acceptable. Financial Requirements: Customers must provide a bank issued debit card or major credit card with enough funds available to cover a $200.00 refundable deposit. The name on the card must match the person renting the vehicle. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. NO PREPAID CARDS are accepted at any location. Minimum/Maximum Rental Policy: U.S. Auto rental has a minimum 2 day rental and minimum 3 day rental on Fridays, as our locations are closed on Sundays. Contracts must be renewed after a maximum of 30 day. Geographical Restrictions: Customers are allowed to drive 100 miles per day. There is a charge of $.50/mile over the mileage limit. Therefore, if you have the vehicle for 3 days, you are allowed a total of 300 miles. Upon return, if you are above 300 miles you are charged $.50/mile. Vehicles may NOT leave the State of Michigan. Our vehicles are used for LOCAL USE ONLY. Additional Driver Policy: Additional Drivers are allowed at a rate of $5.00/day and must provide a valid State issued Driver’s License. Primary renters are subject to loss of your deposit if an unauthorized driver is found to be driving our vehicle. Vehicle Return Policy: All vehicles are due back by 12:00pm (Noon) on the day they are supposed to return, stated on the rental contract. Vehicles returned past Noon will be charged a half days rental charge, and past 3:00PM the customer will be charged for a full day. Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of gas as Non-Smoking Policy: All of our vehicles are SMOKE FREE. $150.00 clean up fee will be charged to customers who smoke in our vehicles.
