Hudson Cafe

Food was excellent! Only complaint I would have is it is quite loud and a little difficult to talk; however, on the upside, that's because it was crowded which is a good thing for the"D"! Definitely will return!

Located on Detroit's beautiful merchant row, you might expect this trendy cafe to be a bit costly. It was surprisingly reasonable, good ambience. I fully expected excellent food. I ordered a Southern I'm Benedicted ( their southern version of eggs Benedict). I was anticipating soft poached eggs, as is traditionally served with eggs Benedict. They were not only not soft poached, but one was hard poached and the other was medium. Although it was not horrible it wasn't what I expected. Also the service was a little lacking. I think my waiter was new though. I thought all the food looked gorgeous coming out of the kitchen so maybe other dishes are spectacular.
