If We Could Give It A Half Star

My girlfriend and I went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for the first time yesterday, both of us curious and excited about what it was going to be like since we've read mixed reviews. Right away we liked the atmosphere, but the hostess was not very friendly (both when we called earlier to make a reservation and when we got there). When we were finally seated, we didn't see our waitress for a full 15 minutes. She finally came and greeted us and said she'd be right back, but took an additional 10 minutes just to bring us some waters. By the time she came with the water we were ready to order, our drinks, appetizers, and main course. The waitress was very friendly and kind, but just incredibly slow. When the food came, the salad was okay and the bread would have been good but was undercooked. We ordered the shrimp, spinach, and artichoke dip for an appetizer and when it came it was overcooked, so the cheese was very hard on top, and there was not a single piece of shrimp to be found anywhere in the dip. We ordered the Italian meat trio for the main dish and it left much to be desired. The meatballs we're okay, but rather dry. I only took one bite of the Italian sausage and didn't enjoy it. It was flavorless and there was nothing special about it. The spaghetti was decent but the sauce needed more salt and flavor. Overall, the food was mediocre at best. The only redeeming part of the meal was the scoop of ice cream that came at the end. That was pretty good. I wouldn't recommend Old Spaghetti Factory to anyone. The biggest disappointment of all is that the atmosphere is really cool and it has the potential to be a pretty awesome restaurant, but the service sucks and the food is not that great. It was a big disappointment.

Always loved this place

We've been here plenty of times and never had a problem. Reasonably priced and good food. Think it's pretty funny that someone else relates it's perceived 'blandness' to this state and natives. There are definitely some poor Italian/Mediterranean restaurants around, but this is not one of them. Must be some reason why it's international and has been in business for so long. Customers keep coming back. Perhaps nonnatives should get around a little more and try some other places before coming to superficial conclusions...

My boyfriend and I went to thi...

My boyfriend and I went to this place just last night before going to Comedy Works. Well the experience was something else I tell you smh...sloppy, horrible, and down right incompetent. The best things were the appetizer and the cold beverages. We were served out of order completely. We first got our drinks, then the appetizer which was fine and normal. Then the waiter comes out with salad. I said ok, the salad looks a hot mess because it had very very little dressing on it. Then the dude comes out to bring her ice cream, then the check. Mind you we both ordered an entree which I had the baked chicken dinner. Not the best. This is something that really does taste like it was made in a factory. It was bland as all natives of CO. I make a much much better spaghetti than this might I add so they really need to hire new chefs along with a new competence boost. The shrimp, artichoke, and spinach dip was delicious though! If you're going to do Italian folks...try Cinzzetti's, one restaurant that's worth going to in this God forsaken bland of a state!
