Established in 1981, Association for Senior Citizens is located in Denver. The organization offers food, shelter and public services to senior citizens throughout the metro areas of Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Douglas, Denver, and Jefferson counties in Colorado. It has a staff of full-time and part-time employees, and more than 15 volunteers. The association provides services, such as emergency assistance, medical equipment, robbery victim assistance and delivery of meals through a food bank. It also offers various services, including benefits checkup, emergency financial assistance, distribution of government commodities, in-house job training and a clothing bank. The organization s other services include senior jobs, low-income housing, counseling and case management, information and referral, and visitor programs. It also distributes a semiannual newsletter.
