Raccoons

All are good for the environment, eating bugs and small rodents.

Opossums
Removed from your garbage or crawlspace? Not usually a problem animal, opossums will sometimes get into barns where they will defecate on the hay that livestock are going to eat. Due to being a carrier of Eastern Equine Encephalitis, it may be necessary to remove the animals if horses are around. Occasionally, opossums will gain entry into a home through an existing opening such as a crawlspace under the building or through a broken basement window. Most often, opossums are caught as incidentals when trapping
Coyotes
Once on the brink of extinction in CT, the whitetail has flourished in suburban areas, living in close proximity to humans and thriving in small woodlots and edge growth. With very few predators left, besides coyotes and man, the whitetail has gotten out of hand in some towns.
