Well Just to be clear Carriage Inn Of Dayton is an excellent place to work. I started off here as a STNA and was promoted to Social Services Designee within 6 months with a raise. My workers are extremely helpful and friendly. I look forward to coming to work everyday to continue to make our residents lives better. My coworkers and I look for ways to improve the environment which includes a friendly environment, knowledgeable nursing and working together as a team.

Let me be the first to say that C.i.d is the WORST...THE WORST PLACE I have ever worked at. They work their staff like slaves literally. Aides are always short ( staffing challenged ) nurses have a hard time taking days they need off because the don't have people to cover their shifts..housekeeping they might as well not have a housekeeping department the place is dirty, barely ever have the supplies needed to take care of the cleaning residents. Their meals look like throwed together slop. And Management is even worse. When you try to quit they'll rip up your notice and tell you NO. Aides have a range of anywhere between 16 - 22 residents a piece and the people sitting in their offices all day could careless. They lie and waste our time in monthly staff meetings saying they care about us. Believe me they do not. They want you to be their slave. Don't expect raises!! you'll work like your 10 people and never get compensated for it.

This facility is one of the most ridiculous I have ever seen. You have management playing favorites on who has to come to work and who gets to do whatever they want which the good nurses do their best but this is a problem as the lazy ones trickle down on the good ones cause they have to do double work. You try to inform management and nothing happens. From my understanding its because of personal relationships not professional. You have nurses not passing meds right you have nurses who have no idea what they are doing. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen!!!! My opinion is that no one should ever work or put a loved one in this facility! Cause it is also my understanding that this place has people dying and leaving at an alarming rate due to these issues! At this time I would not recommended this place for barnyard animals! Worst place I have ever seen especially with favoritism!!!!

A family member was a resident...

We moved our loved one from here. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Their nursing assistants have an extremely high turn over. They do not have anyone there who works directly with medicaid or medicare, which most nursing homes have. The management will talk to you about personal matters in the middle of the hallway with people around, The rooms are tiny so if two people share a room and family wants to visit in the room, there is not sufficient space to sit. They have just redone their building but they changed residents' rooms 3 and 4 times in order to accomplish this. It seemed that the look of the nursing home was much more important than the people living in the nursing home.
