From the outside and a first visit, this looks like a good place to take your children and possibly even a good place to seek employment. It's NAEYC accredited, and has all the technical workings that would make it a good daycare. However, the owner cannot make up her mind about how the children should be disciplined, and what they should be responsible of in their own classrooms. One day, she will tell the children she expects them to do one thing, and the next, she tells them something different (she does this with the staff as well). There are certain teachers at this facility that will talk on their cell phones and use their computers (accessing internet) in their classrooms while the children are there and should be recieving 100% of the attention. She looks away when certain teachers do this, and does not say a word. However, when other teachers pull out their phones to just check the time, she'll talk to them right on the spot, sometimes even in front of the children. Additionally, I have seen the bus for this daycare in neighboring towns with groups of children on it doing what looks like running the teacher's personal errands. I have seen them walking around different stores with their teacher while that teacher is shopping, and the kids are walking around with her looking bored and anxious. This to me, just does not seem very educational or ethical. I don't think that parents are paying for their children to be taken around town to run the teacher's personal errands, but I guess I could be wrong. I have had several friends recently pull their children from this daycare, and I agree with them, it is for good reason.
