Regional Hospice

Regional Hospice in Danbury is about money and things looking (AND SEEMING) a certain way.. It is a nice environment if you can afford $550 per day to have your loved one die there in a day or two. I would not send anyone there past a day or two. Everything we requested was too much of a bother for them to arrange and I was even asked if the food I was bringing my grandmother from the kitchen was for me or her. (If it was for me--I would have paid for it naturally. Just insulting and inappropriate to say the least.) To be treated as dismissively as we were was hard as such a tragic time. The administrators are nasty and seem to thrive on not giving you what you request including a caring attitude. Just avoid this place and, whatever you do, do not even consider their in-home Hospice care. A complete nightmare during what was already the worst time of my family and extended family's life. The Hospice way of treatment is just sorely missing from this agency and we all suffered because of it. Money is first not care.
