Rehabilitation and Wellness Centre of Dallas

After receiving a tour with the Admissions department we fell in love. All of the management team is very professional and seems to care about their patients. Upon admissions, our family member was asked about their first night there. So far so good. We love this place.

Great improvements in care over last few months! I am happy that they have made excellent changes in staff. Much more emphasis on patient satisfaction.

My aunt was there and going for rehab and she was not given her Medications on time. She needed assistance and was left in the restroom for hours! Nurses there have attitudes. They kept her there for hours in a soiled bed. What kind of service is this!! You are suppose to assist and rehabilitate!! Not cause suffering!! These patients have already been through so much and to NOT get the care they need is unacceptable!! You don't deserve a star at all!! I hope this helps someone else out and don't take your loved ones here!

Nightmare, my mother who has dementia fell out of bed and broke her shoulder the first night she was here. All they do is bring tray in and it sits there all day. We have to ask them to change her and give her pain medication. Never take vitals and never see a doctor.

Today is September 3, 2016.....The board in the room says August 2, 2016. My mother asked for help to go to the restroom as they requested, but the person responsible for helping her had a bad attitude about helping her. She just got her, but I don't think she will be staying. Horrible first impression.

Minus 0 would be my rating if possible. This is one of the most unprofessional, uncaring, inconsiderate, poorly stocked, arrogant, insincere, and money hungry facilities you can imagine. There are a few caring people sprinkled within the walls; but that is not the norm. PLEASE do not send anyone you care about here.

The DON Ramona Few say she go to church on Sundays but comes into work on Monday and start raising hell. She has her little click doing her dirty work for her while she sits back from a distance and watch. When she is done using you to do her dirt she finds a way to fire you. The way i see it she is in that position just for power.

I suggest you get accurate information before putting things like this online. I know the DON and she was not fired from all of those facilities. Furthermore, it says a lot of a person's character and how they value as well as treat their employees when the employees are willing to follow them to their next position. It is obvious that you are one of those disgruntled employees that was fired. As I stated, I have known the DON personally for more than 40 yrs and if she fires anyone then they weren't doing their job. PERIOD

AS A TEAM!!!! THE PLACE LOOKS GREAT IT DOESNT SMELL THEY R WARM CARING AND PASSIONATE MY LOVE ONE HAS BEEN THEY SENT THE DOORS OPEN AND I WOULD TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING THE STAFF WORK AS A WHOLE BUILD I RECOMMAND IT TO ANYONE TO JUST COME IN WITH A CLEAR MIND AND OPEN HEART YOU WILL BE HAPPY AND RELIEVED.

I HAVE TO ADMIT THE BUILDING WAS A MESS WHEN I PUT MY MOM THERE AND I WAS COMPLAININ EVERYDAY. ONE DAY I WENT TO COMPLAIN MY MOM TOLD ME THAT THEM PEOPLE DO A DAM GOOD JOB OF TAKE CARE OF HER AND THE OTHERS THERE. SHE TOLD ME THEY MAKE HER FEEL SO WONDERFUL SHE WON'T TRADE THEM FOR NOTHING. I CAN SAY I FEEL GOOD FOR CHOOSE THE BEST PLACE FOR MY MOM. I JUST LOVE THE STAFF THERE FOR MAKIN IT THE BEST PLACE TO BE. IF IT WANT FOR THEM WHERE WILL WE BE. I KNOW I CANT DO IT FOR THEM.

you have to admit the building at one time had its issues and it is now under new management.so i can truly say that my mom has been there for over a year and i love the place.my mom says the food is awesome and the nursing staff is excellent.i think the poor reviews are a poor reflection of the person making the bad ratings.obviously you are still there so you must either have something you like about the building or no where else to go.if u know somewhere better im sure their wonderful social worker can help u with discharge planning!!

Cuddos to the staff at The Dallas Center for Rehabilitation, both second and third floor. My father was admitted on the second floor and then transferred to the third floor for long term care. The Staff at this building are like Heaven sent, they were so very attentive to his needs as well as mine. The Christmas Party that was given to the staff and residents, was just wonderful. The joy that was on the face of the residents was PRICELESS. The staff are just like family, very easy to talk. Everyone makes themselves readily available at all time.

I honestly believe that THEY DO CARE AND THEY DO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. My father is LIVING proof.

When one is in turmoil or distress, they tend to come up with any fracture of a problem to justify their negative state of mind. One tends to question why would you leave your loved one in a facility past a moment of your discomfort if you felt t the facility did not adhere to his or her needs. I have had nothing but positive results with the staff and the well kept facility. I have only experienced patience along with kindness that I rate as Five Star Treatment in the time of my fathers housing. Once again I can not understand why would an individual try to tear down well built structure when their structure is in jeopardy. Let us all help build, and then you will find you the peace that you so desire. God Bless.

I agree with the two other reviews. The facility grounds is wonderful and the Physical Theraphy crew is great but that is the last good thing I can say about it. Sandwiches are served three times a week for dinner with stale bread. The LVN's do not want to do anything and if you ask them too they seem to be put out by it. The day crew and weekend crew is not as bad as the night crew. My husband has been in and out of the hospital a lot of times over the past 8 years and this is the worst place I have ever been in. They need to get new a new nursing staff starting with what they call the DON and then maybe this place would be great. When first admitted, my husband went for several days not taking his required medication before any one of them happen to tell me. I would not even rate it a one star.

The therapist are WONDERFUL! The rest of the staff leaves A LOT to be desired. There is no one in charge on site, i.e. , the so called nurses do nothing but stand around and talk. There is no "head nurse" and when a patient uses the "nurse call button" no one will answer, they are too busy playing around. At any given time you can walk into this place to see your loved one and the "call nurse" bell wll be ringing and they just ignore it. I have heard this bell ring for more than 45 min at a time. And the same thing goes for the phone, it goes unanswered, even when someone is sitting right there looking at it. We had to go so far as calling the Corporate Office to get help with these people. And that only helped for a short time. If you don't want to do your job - find another one!

This facility looks like the Ritz Carlton but please do not be fooled by the facade. The physical therapy is great and the executives are very polished and professional . The patient rooms and grounds look like you have just entered an exclusive spa. However the most important part...the nursing staff are incompetent and neglectful. My friend was recently admitted to this place for rehab because she was having trouble walking. She would ring the bell for nursing assistance in order to use the bed pan and it would take 30 minutes for someone to respond. Then she would be left sitting on the bed pan for thirty to forty- five minutes because the nurses did not want to be bothered with her. She was not bathed properly or on a regular basis which has led to hygienic problems. And sometimes not given medication until 11:30P.M. But worst of all she was physically and emotionally abused by a member of the nursing staff. Do not put your loved one in this facility if you care about their well being!
