Dr. Karina Marr has spent most of her life living and serving her community in North Texas. She was in the charter class of the International Baccalaureate magnet program at Plano East Senior High School. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2000 with a B.S. in Psychology. She completed her dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry-Texas A&M Health Science Center in 2005, earning a place on the Deanââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s Cumulative Honor List (awarded to the select handful of dental students named to the Deanââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s List each and every year of their dental training) and inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society (honoring her as one of only ten students chosen from the upper twenty percent of their dental class). Upon graduation, Dr. Marr spent three years in Austin, where she practiced general dentistry before pursuing an advanced degree specializing in dentistry for children. Dr. Marr completed her pediatric specialty training at Childrenââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s National Medical Center in Washington, DC in 2010, and is a board certified pediatric dentist. Dr. Marr is also a clinical professor at Baylor College of Dentistry, and is the current co-president of the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society. Dr. Marr lives in Dallas with her husband Peter, 2 year old daughter Olivia and their yellow lab Loki. Dr. Marr is very excited about opening an office to serve her neighbors and the community that she lives in, and she canââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t wait to get to know each and every one of you!
