Ramen Yamadaya

if ever in the mood for ramen in the culver city, stop at yamadaya. the broth is what you want in tonkotsu ramen...plus the garlic press, need I say more. do yourself a favor and drop the instant ramen and get a bowl of happiness.

I have had their tonkotsu and the special chicken broth ramen, and some karaage chicken. The best thing they have is the karaage, and the tonkotsu is pretty good, but no where close to the real deal from Hakata(I happpen to come from Hakata, born and raised). Their special chicken ramen was terrible: too salty, lukewarm, and not savory enough. The word, umami, should be part of the equation but sadly it's not. They should stick to what they do good, which is their tonkotsu style ramen and improve upon it.

Must try the Ramen with a slab of pork belly on top! So delicious! Dont forget your b*ner pants.
