Resin Composite
• Fillings are direct restorations placed immediately into a prepared cavity in a single visit. They include dental amalgam, glass ionomers, resin ionomers and some resin composite fillings. The dentist prepares the tooth, places the filling and adjusts it during one appointment.

Deep Cleaning
• Scaling and Root Planning is also referred as deep cleaning, and is common when when periodontal pockets are greater then 3 mm. It is a method to treat periodontal disease that standard cleaning procedures cannot address and should be done to prevent irreversible damage to the gums and bones supporting teeth. Scaling removes plaque and tartar beneath the gum line. Planning the tooth’s root surfaces will help the gum tissue to heal and the pockets shrink. The procedure may include local anesthetic to reduce discomfort.

• Bridges replace missing teeth with a bridge, that helps maintain the shape of your face. It can also reduce the stress in your bite. It can be referred to as a fixed partial denture, a bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth. It looks great, and literally “bridges the gap” where one or more teeth may have been. It can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials and is attached to surrounding teeth or the jaw.

• Tooth whitening brightens discolored or stained teeth. Dr. Fish uses bleaching systems that you complete at home. It requires having a customized tray for both upper and lower teeth. At home, the trays are filled with a chemical whitening solution and applied according to the directions.

General Dentistry
Dr. Jeffrey P Fish is a 1981 Crosby-Ironton High School graduate, and graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B. A. in Biomedical Science. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental School in Minneapolis and is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association and American Dental Association. In his youth, Dr. Fish was a patient at the dental office that he now owns for over 13 years. He has been practicing general dentistry in Minnesota for nearly 25 years. When Dr. Fish is not in the office, he is an avid hunter, fisherman and also likes snowmobiling and golfing. He enjoys time with his wife and two daughters.
