Crawfordville Animal Hospital

We took our 3 dogs to Dr Ried Guhrt in Tallahassee and when we moved to Georgia we needed another opinion about Buddy so we found Dr.Ried Guhrt again, this time in Crawfordville. We drive 45-50 miles one way and feel that he is very thorough, a great diagnostician and so caring. He discovered a problem our other vets had not looked into and was very careful with the sedation of our 15 year old sweet Buddy during surgery for dental and lipoma excision. We totally put our trust in this excellent vet and will be taking Dixie and Buck to him as soon as we can. Thank you Dr. Guhrt and your excellent staff!

I took my three dogs in for a routine rabies vaccine. The staff was rude and VERY rough with my dogs which are very calm and good at the vet. Dr. Gurt gave my dogs WAY more vaccines than they were supposed to have. As a result, all of my healthy dogs were sick. When I called them about this, neither vet would speak to me! One of my dogs only lasted three months before she had to be put to sleep at the age of 6 due to a blood disorder that was caused by this vet. Please don't take your beloved animals here and have the same heartache I have had. No one should have to go through this. Worst experience ever!!!

Both doctors have provided excellent care for all our animals. They take the time to explain what is going on with our animals. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats that are cared for there. Cost is very fair. We drive from Tallahassee to Crawfordville to see the Gerts and their staff

I brought my daschund in to them,, the assistant said the doctor would come and examine her from head to toe, and watch her walk, the doctor came and," is that a daschund" she has a slipped disc, I ask how do you know, doctor said "the way she is sitting. she gave her a cortisone shot, and ask what is budget for today, I said 100$ she gave her the shot and sent us home with predizone pills and valium. My dog could not walk by the time we got home..

I took my dog in for surgery to be fixed at that time I asked for pain medication to be given to him. I had also talked to them 3 times including the morning of the surgery to remove his dew claws and give him his shots. He is aggressive toward stress situations and I told them that.I wanted them to do everything while he was asleep to reduce stress. apparently they did not listen and had a time with him trying to give him all that while awake. The girl at the desk was new and very rude and out right mean to him. then I paid for a collar and she didn't give it to me and then got rude and ignored me when I went back to get it. VERY upset over the comments made and how I was treated and how my dog was treated. He was also in a kennel without water or any type of blanket. I worked for many years for a vet , we did not treat our animals that way. If I ever use them again I definitely wont be leaving him. I am going to look for a new Vet.

DR. GURT AND HER STAFF OFFER EXCELLENT PET CARE WITH A VERY TOUCHING PETSIDE MANOR. MY DOG HAS ONLY ACCEPTED TWO VETS IN HIS 11 YEARS OF LIFE AND DR. GURT IS ONE. THEY ARE EASY TO WORK WITH AND ALWAYS HAVE A SMILE FOR THE PET PARENT OR PARENTS.

You get what you pay for I guess.
