While the staff was very pleasant and the facility clean, their billing office is a bit hasty! I had my MRI and received a bill. I called and indicated that under my HMO I should not have a copay. I notified my insurance and they indicated that my policy had changed. I contacted the imaging center again and explained to them that I am currently on disability, and unable to pay sucha large bill at this time. I was told she would note it in the system and to make a payment no matter how small or large, as I could afford to. I received 1 statement and then a Collection agency letter! Unbelievable that I explained my situation and they send me to collections. As a medical professional myself, I can assure you that the proper protocol was not followed and that they were way too hasty in sending someone to collections. They'll never get e referral from our office after this!
