SERIOUSLY DISFUNCTIONAL!!!

So here's my complaints…

-Gesinee’s promised me a delivery date BUT was two week late!

-THEY CHARGED MY DRESS TO THE WRONG CREDIT CARD: despite an email I sent confirming the CC and a phone call in which I gave all of the information, they charged THE NATIONAL BRIDAL CARD I had applied for and planned to use for future use. I discovered the charge 10 months later, after my credit had been destroyed!

-I NEVER RECEIVED AN APOLOGY FROM THE OWNER WHICH I EXPLICTLY ASKED FOR. The administrative aspect of this business is seriously dysfunctional! STEAR CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!

1) When I bought the dress they told me my dress would be in my hands by a certain date (which was one of the major deciding factors in why I bought the dress, as my wedding was only 2 months away). When that day came and went I of course called and was rudely informed that it would be another two weeks and that I must have misunderstood when my dress was going to arrive. I told her I hadn't and that I would never have agreed to receive me dress one day before my wedding which is what they were saying would happen in the best case scenario. After my mother made a fit they agreed unhappily to rush the shipping for free.

2) So my wedding day passed and one would think that the drama with Gesinee's would have as well. But alas... 6 months pass and on Christmas day I receive a phone call from a man who claims he is calling in regards to the $65.00 I owe to Gesinee's Bridal. I thought for sure it was a scam because 1) I had paid for my dress in full with my dad's credit card 2) I never made any charge for 65.00. Nonetheless I called Gesinee's a few days later and described the phone call and gave all of the information the man on the phone had given me. After checking her records she agreed that I had paid in full and that she would check into it and give me a call back. Well I never did hear back and the situation slipped my mind until 4 months later I apply for a lease and find out I have 1000.00 I owe to the NATTIONAL BRIDAL ASSOCIATION. I was shocked and told the lease agent it must be fraud. After a week of research I discovered that... GESINEE'S BRIDAL HAD MADE AN UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE ON THE NATIONAL BRIDAL CARD I HAD APPLIED FOR, DESPITE AN EMAIL CONFIRMING THE CREDIT CARD I WANTED TO USE AND A TELEPHONE CALL IN WHICH I GAVE THE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND NUMBER! Oh and the reason it took 8 months for me to find out was because they (GE MONEY BANK/ NATIONAL BRIDAL ASSSOCIATION) were sending notices to my childhood home (not the address I put on the application).

The reviews I read while planning my wedding were essential to the decisions I made, so I want to start by imploring other brides not to go to Gesinee’s. If you want the full details, they are below, but the most important thing now is preventing future brides from having an experience like mine. I can never get my wedding day back, and you all deserve an amazing wedding day with no regrets. I will say that I had a good experience purchasing the dress. Everyone seems so nice and acted knowledgeable. However, the dress I purchased caused me nothing but pain and embarrassment. I know that I am a little top heavy, so when I first walked in to Gesinee’s, my only stipulation was that I wanted sleeves. I was convinced that I should try sleeveless dresses, as many of them have corsetst. I trusted their advice. Looking back, the saleswoman only brought me sleeveless dresses to try on. During my 2nd appointment with them, I picked out a few with sleeves. The three dresses I was allowed to choose did not go well with my frame. As Sammy, the saleswoman, knew what she was doing, the dresses she chose looked significantly better on me. They felt supportive and she said several times that I would be fine without sleeves. I believed her and I purchased a sleeveless dress. During the fitting process, there were other problems, but I’m going to focus on the boning they added and their advice that I would be fine without sleeves. My mom and I both asked the seamstresses about sleeves and we were assured each time that I did not need them. The dress was not fine without sleeves. My dress did not even support me all the way through the ceremony. The boning bent more and more as the night went on. By the end of the night, I was embarrassed and in a lot of pain. The bruises lasted for over a week. Gesinee's offered to rebone and preserve the dress. They have refused to offer any other solution or any type of refund. Please spare yourself that pain and stay far away from Gesinee’s.

They Had Lots Of Selections , Many styles & types of dresses , service was pretty good even though that were slightly busy , but they helped me find the dress of my dreams

Despite what I'd heard...

We had a very pleasant experience going to buy my daughter's prom dress. Chelcie helped us and was professional and helpful. I am very pleased with Gesinee's Bridal and their staff.

Highly Recommended

I had heard horror stories and was a little worried about coming to Gesinee's Bridal - but I am glad I went anyway. Unlike what other people say: I was not charged for anything frivolous or over the top charges: I did not pay to try on dresses, i did not pay to have my dress pressed and ready for pick up and I did not pay to store the dress there. I visited the store twice and tried on a lot of dresses and my salesperson was wonderfully patient carrying dresses back and forth and giving suggestion and doing whatever I asked. The second time I went back, I had a much better idea of what I wanted and they helped me find the dress. As a matter of fact, they didn't have the exact dress, they had a *slightly* different version that was $400 cheaper - totally worth it!!!



When it came time to decide the size of my dress... first I got lucky because I tried on my size (in regular clothes I am anywhere from an 8 to 12, but with the gown I was a size 14 - a perfect fit. I don't understand how the numbers work, but I know they are different than regular clothing). Second, they showed me a size of recommended sizes per body shape/weight/height and ultimately it was my decision (they did not force *anything*).



When I went for my fitting, I was worried that the seamstresses would try to tell me what to do: not in the least. I insisted that all I wanted was to add a "bustle" - i did not want to hem the dress (I wanted to wear heels that were high enough - big mistake on my part). The point is, everyone at Gesinee's was very professional and they listened to what I wanted and did not force anything down my throat. I *highly* recommend this Bridal shop. In addition, if you don't want overly expensive gowns, SAY SO when you walk in and they will take you straight to the second floor. Lots of dresses around $1000. THANK YOU GESINEE's (by the way, I got married Dec 30, 07 - so I am writing as a 100% satisfied costumer, a month after the wedding)

Excellent service but expensive

I had a most enjoyable experience at the Concord location. The service was good and they have a excellent selection of gowns. My only complaint is the price. It seems that I could not find anything under $1,000 and that doesn't include alterations. I don't know if they just didn't have any in the type of dress I wanted or they chose only to show me high-end dresses.
