Fifth & Kenny Animal Hospital

Dr. Custer connects great with pets and has a good bedside manner but can't follow through with patient care. Staff is unprofessional and lacks organization and good customer service. Since Dr. Custer purchased Fifth and Kenny there have been nice updates -- fresh paint in and out and landscaping, but the exam room was dirty...hairballs and toenails all over the floor. They were not busy so there is no excuse the room couldn't have been cleaned before we were brought in. After the exam and recommendation of diagnostics Dr. Custer never came back in to wrap up or say goodbye. As a new client I was pretty put off by this...if they were busy that would be one thing, but we were the only clients in there. My pet was seen and I was told that we would be called with blood work results the next day. No call the next day, or the day after. Day three I called and was told that only one of multiple results returned (but no explination or appology as to why I was not contacted at least to say, sorry we haven't got all the results back -- how is your pet). Now at day 10 after the appointment I still have not received a call from the doctor or any of the staff. I called the lab directly and got my pet's results and will be going elsewhere. Very diappointed Dr. Custer. I had heard good things from your classmates but you certainly have a lot to learn on running your business and now I even question your medicine. I have been taking my pets to Drs. Miley and Jenne for almost 30 years and I was devastated yesterday to find out that they have retired and sold their practice to another vet, without notifying their patients. I have two 13 year old pets and am extremely concerned that the "new" vet may not be as good with my pets as Drs. Miley and Jenne. The "new" vet has already changed the clinic hours and it will be difficult for me to now get there. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm extremely concerned for the welfare of my cherished pets.Patdocharlie

Both Dr. Jenne and Dr. Miley are wonderful doctors, & the vet techs are great. It's apparent they really love animals. I have been taking my cats there for 12 years now.

I drive 25 mile just to get to them. They are fantastic with your animals. Dr. Larry Miley is a great guy, down to earth and very reasonable. I would definitely trust him with your family member.
