It's not really often that I go out of my way to tell about a good experience I've had. With this one, I felt it was very deserved. I just got my roof replaced by David Martin and Son roofing outfit. I didn't just randomly pick them. I drove around my neighborhood and took down numbers of companies that had put signs in people's yards. If there were more than three yards with a particular sign, I gave them a call. Here's what made them stand out to me: MOST IMPORTANT : The personal attention that was given to us. David and Jennifer (the owners) contacted us consistently throughout the entire process and they kept their word on everything they did. David went into excruciatingly thorough detail of what he could do for us and described every facet of the work and why he was doing each thing. For a very detail oriented person like me, this was very important. They are handling EVERYTHING with our insurance company. A number of other contractors kept telling me the calls that I would need to make to my insurance company for this and that. If I wanted to be my own general contractor, then why would I be calling them? Finally, their work was really great. We barely even knew they were there; no torn up yard, no trash leftover, very few nails left on the ground. The little touches they did really make a difference. A small example is the ridge vents. Most companies stop the ridge vents several feet from the edge of the ridge. David completes the ridge vent all the way to the end of the ridge. That really makes it look like it was part of the original design, and not just an add on. Again, the biggest thing to us was the personal attention and information given throughout the process.
