Tonys Famous New York Pizza

Worst customer service I have ever experienced, when I called to resolve the issue the person on the other end became angry and said they were the owner and hung up on me!

I never write reviews, but I felt that this "restaurant" needs a true review, and not one probably posted by an owner or employee etc. First let me explain that this place is actually located within a gas station. I did not expect the pizza to be fantastic, but I do expect at least a little effort in making a decent pie. I have given them a few chances over the past few months, ordering something different every time, this particular time I ordered a margherita pizza, with an order of "garlic" knots. The pizza came in a timely manner. When I took the pizza, I noticed first that it was only mildly warm, which I thought was odd for a delivery that only took about 30 minutes, taking it inside what I opened to find was a lukewarm, tomato paste covered pizza, with no signs of basil, a few spots of very thin mozzarella slices melted into the paste, and instead of the aforementioned lack of basil, what I recieved had dried italian seasoning/basil sprinkled all over. Not what I think of, when I think of a margherita pizza, even from a gas station. The crust really had no flavor, and the pizza itself had to be one of the thinnest pies I have ever seen, I like NY style, thin pizza, but this was a joke. The pizza in general seemed like something I could have found in the freezer section of Walmart. Now, on to the "garlic" knots...when I ordered I specifically asked for extra garlic, when they came, they were lukewarm like the pizza and literally had NO garlic on them whatsoever, save for one lone knot which just had a little piece on it. They were practically swimming in oil, of which I believe was vegetable, not olive...it was very runny and thin when I poured it out of the tin container. The knots also were sprinkled with the same italian seasoning that was on the pizza, with the exception that having taken their time in the oven, my knots were instead covered with dried, black flakes....MMMMMMM. SuFfice to say, I now remember why I havent ordered from Tony's in a while, and I would say this is the last time. If you like crappy, gas station pizza with cheap, skimpy ingredients then by all means...one thing I can say is the delivery was prompt and the price right, which gets them at least ONE STAR. Good luck Tony, with better options in the area, you are gonna need it.
