Dollar General

I used to work here and it was hell. I got rehired due to moving from another Dollar general i was with for over a year. My old boss got fired over things out of her control which left me to run the store. I did doubles,open to close for 2 months. One day i got into a bad wreck and called my DM to tell him i had gotten to a wreck. The first thing he asked me was did i get ahold of anyone to open the store? I was like um.no. im calling u to tell u no one is available to open the store due to schedules. He informed me after my police report i needed to get to the store to open it asap! I knew right then and there me and dollar general was gonna part ways. He ended up giving the store to a lady that had no knowledge to run a store let alone respect her employees. She tried to fire me the 2nd day she was there because another store manager informed her she needed to get rid of the only 5 people that was left. I told her i knew my rights and she couldnt write me up over the things she was trying to get me fired her which sent her to a rage.She started having her sons stalk me every night (i started taking night shift when she was hired due to knowing how to recover and count the cash) i called my DM to indicate i was not comfortable with her sons watching/stalking me until closing,he had the nerve to tell me to get over it and as long as i was doing my work i had no problem. I resigned right on the spot. She has went through 3 assistance, and over 18 cashiers in a matter of a year. Should give you exactly a idea why this store is a mess.

Horrible! Went in last Sunday to shop and was a horrible experience. One cashier and it was her first day on register I found out. The manager wouldn't help her when she asked for backup. There were two people on floor stocking. The line was really long and customers were asking the manager whose name is Beverly to help and she ignored everyone till she came up to the cashier and told her to move cause she was too damn slow. Many customers heard it and some of us commented and then the manager just walked off the register. The cashier was nice,sweet and apologized to everyone for the wait and you can tell that this behaviour and how she was treated bothered her. This is nothing bad about her. This store is nasty. So unorganized and the manager Beverly is the rudest unfriendly person who does not need to be a manager. I hope that cashier finds another job. I won't be going in there no more and several other people said the same thing. Need new management in that store.

Waited over 20 mins this morning to get in after the store was suppose to be open. So I just left! Don't hold your breath for these people...

Manager is rude, employees openly complain about customers, I avoid going here at all costs. Thank God Dollar Tree is just down the road.
