Invitation To Dance

A FIVE STAR DANCE STUDIO!! This a wonderful Dance Studio because of Miss Hawley and her dance teachers. They show personal attention to the students and work with them to bring out their best. My children have gone there for over 11 years and have developed skills and talent that they can use for the rest of their lives. Miss Hawley works very well with children who have a handicap or who have a disabilty. There is a recital in June every year and also throughout the year the students perform at different events, one example is parades. There is dance performance team who competes at Dance Competitions and they came in 1st and 2nd place for the past two years. Miss Hawley and her teachers give the students motivation, creation, and inspiration to dance.

ITD is a super studio! Love the attention to detail! Always there to answer any questions and keep me informed. ITD will bring out the best in your child.

My children danced at ITD. They learned the basics at a young age and progressed through the years. The classes gave them opportunities to perform at many events and the framework to appear in shows throughout their school years in theatre and also participate in professional local shows such as Derby Dinner Playhouse and Stage One. All three of my children have danced and tumbled at ITD from early childhood into their teens. They gained self esteem and confidence performing not only in recitals but also in competitions, community activities and parades. The skills they learned at ITD also allowed them to perform with the Louisville Ballet in the Nutcracker and other productions including Derby Dinner Playhouse and Stage One. Owner / Instructor Hawley Hughes always encouraged my children and other students to pursue opportunities of interest and would even work with them individually to make sure they performed at their best. She has also encouraged diversity by accepting students with special needs and integrating students (both children and adults) of all abilities to learn and appreciate different forms of dance.

Hawley is very dedicated to her students!!! Both my children have enjoyed her classes!Hawley worked on her own time with my daughter who had been in physical therapy from birth to 6 years old. she also held classes to help non-dancers become Prom-ready. I have recommended Invitation to dance to many friends and will continue to do so!!

Great teachers. Really bad communication between the studio and the parents, everything was verbal. No emails, and barely papers sent home for announcements. I am really disappointed.
