I had a birthday party event here and everything went fine at first. I actually had family members wanting to book it for future events. Once the party was over I made sure to clean everything. The reason why I am giving this place one star is due to their rude ignorant hall coordinator\manager. After the party was over, she(laurie) came with a huge dog (which you can interpret as you'd like). I gave her the keys and she was really trying to find something wrong with the place to not give me my deposit. What she found "wrong" was ice in the cooler. So i managed to take everything out. She was still nit picking. She eventually gave me the deposit and said rudely "if the cooler burns you will be hearing from me". Mind you that cooler obviously had ice in it, in the past since the racks at the bottom were brown and the bottom of the cooler was disgusting. She was very unprofessional and I will never ever book an event here. A few guests of mine were trying to speak to her about the venue and she completely ignored everyone (which once again you can interpret for yourself). I advise taking photos of the whole venue, as i did before and after, just incase you have to deal with her.

As a law abiding American citizen I can not recommend renting the Schorsch Village Hall. Not that there is anything wrong with the hall itself, it's because of that offensive sign they posted. It's one of those offensinsive "Gun Free Zone" signs that lets every criminal and felon know that the people inside are unarmed and helpless to defend themselves and their families against a criminal. That sign will not keep me or my family safe when a felon chooses to enter anyway. The "feelings" are in the right place, but it's better to think using logic, rather than emotion. Honest law abiding citizens like myself will not break the law by entering a posted building. Will the felon stop because of a sign? You decide.
