Provided by DexKnowsAfter calling many places I called and they were very coureous. I brought my diamond engagement ring in as well as a few unmatched odd gold items that were laying around for years. They explained how retail & wholesale selling prices worked and color & clarity graded my diamond to G.I.A. specifications. We agreed on a very fair price and I was shocked at how much I received for my old gold too! I had a small ring with little diamonds & they explained that even though a retail store would charge a certain price that the value of resale was not that high and that it might be better that I kept it. I appreciate their honesty and the education I recieved. 5 stars Thank you

Provided by DexKnowsWe brought my mother & fathers coins & jewelry from their estate in for an appraisal. They took the time to go over all the coins date by date. They explained to us about the gold value & the collectible value of our jewelry. Some of the pieces were Cartier and they paid much more for those items and still paid a very high price for the other gold items. I would highly recommend Chicago Gold Gallery to anyone wishing to sell their items.

Provided by DexKnowsI asked him to appraise a Le Coultre watch all of it is oringal except the back, which was replaced with a 14K gold back. He told me it was now only worth almost nothing.Wrong! I also asked him to look at a 18K gold ring with 10 small princess cut diamonds TCW of 0.23 and 0.17 of alexandrite [single stone] I have papers for this ring.[EGL]It is valued at $2550.00 This man told me they were glass. So one of two things are going on here.1. He does NOT know very much about gems, or 2. He rips off his coustmers. Either way I would steer clear of this place.
