X-rays

Dr Fiss office with Jodi helped with providing me with The best Toothpaste and other Items that help with keeping my Smile Perfect, and yes I forget a lot with Chemo, and somehow they help keep track of a schedule for me. As a patient going through treatment I was cold and they provided a blanket for me, also when I was sad, during my visits they knew, and just talking, having music with a head set, yes I was asked what music do I like and they found something to Relax Me. Fluoride Treatment
MI Pasteâ„¢ is an oral care treatment that completely focuses on the overall total health of the teeth. This â€œpasteâ€ is used along with your regular toothpaste and is a cream that is applied after flossing and brushing twice a day. MI Pasteâ„¢ focuses more on replacing the minerals that are lost from the tooth surface such as calcium, phosphate and fluoride. Prior to this product, the only way to treat hypersensitive teeth, weakened enamel, or cavity-prone teeth was to give patients different forms of fluoride treatments, but we did not always diminish the problem. This product replaces all the minerals that are missing from the tooth, not just fluoride. Since we started using MI Pasteâ„¢, patients have been able to diminish white chalky areas on their enamel, enjoy cold/hot foods and drinks without discomfort, receive teeth-whitening treatments, and decrease the amount of cavities they get.

Fillings
Amalgam fillings are no longer a necessity. Inlays/ onlays made of IPS Empress all-ceramics are hardly distinguishable from the natural dentition.
Veneers
Celebrities commonly use porcelain veneers to get their teeth camera-ready, and this treatment is available for anyone who needs a solution capable of concealing many cosmetic dental flaws.
Crowns
To be eligible for a crown or bridge, any existing decay or infection must be addressed first, and if needed, gum disease treatment should be underway. However, minor dental alignment issues can often be addressed with a crown.
Bridges
Two three unit bridges were replaced from porcelain to metal (dark at the gumline to all porcelain bridges) giving the patient a youthful smile.
Dental Bonding
Some dentists offer a cheaper option called composite veneers or dental bonding. This approach masks dental flaws but looks less natural than porcelain veneers and doesnâ€™t last as long.

Root Canal Treatment
Picture #1: Patient presented post trauma regarding his top front 7 teeth #6-12. Teeth #7, 8, 9 were missing. Teeth # 8, 11, and 12 needed root canal treatment.

Deep Cleaning
When their teeth are cleaned, this condition is generally resolved. People with gum tissue that bleeds on a regular basis, feels very tender or puffy may have moved into a more serious stage of periodontal disease called periodontitis. Using a periodontal probe, which measures pocket depth, and current X-rays, your dentist and hygienist can regularly monitor the health of your gum tissue and health of the supporting soft and hard tissue around your teeth. The perio-probe and X-rays demonstrate the difference in height between the tissue around the neck of your teeth and the bone underneath. When the pocket depth measured exceeds 4mm, the patient can no longer reach the depth of the pocket with dental floss, and the disease will progress without immediate care. Patients with pocket depth between 4 and 6mm usually receive excellent results when a non-surgical gum disease treatment called scaling and root planing or deep cleaning is performed.

Tooth Extractions
Thank heavens for Dr. Fiss and his team. I lost a crown one evening just days before hosting a large event. After sending a panicked email to the Doc that evening, I received a response just 30 minutes later (it was nearly 10 pm) to come in first thing the next morning. The very next day at 8 am I was in his dentist chair being examined, followed by a cleaning, at which time he called the endodontist to see me stat for a tooth extraction. By 11:30 am my tooth was extracted, my prescriptions called-in, and I was home in bed with an icepack resting comfortably. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Fiss for years as he’s a fabulous dentist, but when the chips (or crown) are down, his sense of urgency, understanding and care are truly above and beyond. Thank heavens! My event was a pain-free success; thanks Dr. Fiss and team.

Orthodontics
