Thank God I found this place. I've been slowly thinning for the past 6 years and I've tried everything. One morning I spent an hour trying to 'do' my hair and after multiple tears decided I'd had enough and that I'd visit this shop and check out their toppers. Allison was a god send. She is incredibly knowledgable and has a real flair for what she does. She was patient, kind and really schooled me (in a good way) on what I should be looking at. For me, a synthetic topper was perfect. It wasn't overly expensive. I paid $150 and it looks amazing. Friends didn't believe me when I said that I was wearing a sew-in, they thought it was my hair. My husband seems to think I'm just having a good hair day when I leave Allson. My only regret is not getting one sooner. For women hair and self esteem go hand in hand. It was demoralizing for me to see my hair slowing disappearing. Now I have great hair whenever I want. I love it. Oh, and Hair Extensions are so easy to put in and I am a complete idiot at doing hair. Yay for weaves, and Allison!

I've been going to the salon for almost 2 years now. The first time I came to the salon my hair was in horrible shape due to previous stylists. Now my hair is natural and healthier than ever. My sewins are always beautiful and tight and last months. Allison is always available and always professional not to mention friendly I wouldnt dare recommend any other shop besides this one.

Do not use this place for a Keratin treatment or if you want to maintain your healthy hair. I walked in with soft, shiny, intact ends, brown hair. Walked out with black, strawlike, dry, broken ends hair; sore scalp; raging headache; and unshed tears. This is my 6th Keratin over 3 years. Never has a treatment stripped my color. Never has a stylist use a blow dryer nozzle to literally detangle my hair, leading to watching the ends and knots fly out of my hair. It took 3.25 hours to achieve this disaster. I couldn't bear to look in the mirror once I got up. I stopped her from brushing my hair at the end because I couldn't bear any more damage to my hair. I ended up leaving a $20 tip as I was too distressed to ask for my $15 or $10 change. (Fool that I am, I try to take the high road no matter how disastrous the results.) I will let Living Social know that my $79 or whatever I spent along with 3.25 hours of my life and the extra salon visit next week is not worth the broken ends and soot black damage done to my hair. The front of my hair looks like I asked for an awful bang. I'm glad it's just hair and that I will never darken the doorsteps of this stylist. The weave I saw on another client who came in after me and left long before me, was beautiful. Good place if you need such a service.

My experience at the Uptown Hair Extensions was great! As soon a you come in the salon they welcome you. I had a full sew in and my hair looks so natural, they really took care of me the whole experience was great! I am definitely coming back here. The whole salon was clean and relaxing, no one was rude. I've only heard great reviews from my coworkers and when I went here, they were not lying! Definitely coming back!

It was my first time to have Hair Extensions with Uptown Hair Extensions. I did my hair with Allison, master hairstylist. When it comes to great hair extensions I am always picky and concerned of will it look natural and not wiggy. The technique that Allison has in Hair Extensions is something I never have experience. I was a bit concern along the process I'm not gonna lie but it turned out great and I just love my hair!. The price was affordable and the service was amazing, ladies if your ever in Charlotte, North Carolins give the salon a visit.....You will be very happy, you did!.

I tried two other salons when moving to Charlotte, North Carolina and struck gold when I finally ended up at Uptown Hair Extensions. It's an upscale yet comfortable environment in Uptown Charlotte and the prices are fair. I always get a cut and highlights and it's $100. I don't want to give it away (hey, I wait till the last minute to book appointments and I don't want to have to wait a month to be seen!), but since other Yelpers have already say it I will say it to Uptown Weave Café is the best, I guess I'll say ... Allison is great and she knows her stuff when it comes to healthy hair . She is so upbeat and cute and most importantly does a great job with my hair

Committing to a new stylist was a scary thought for me when I first moved to Charlotte, NC. I went Allison at the suggestion of a friend, and I knew immediately I wouldn't have to search at all! I was greeted right away and offered something to drink and a snack. Allison was friendly, prompt, and gave me the best Natural Shampoo and Blow Dry I've had in years! it was beautiful and modern plus I was in and out in less than an hour.

I was in a rush to get my hair done for the holidays! The owner, Allison was pleasant over the phone! When I arrived at the salon, I was sent to the shampoo bowl. A very sweet young lady who told me she was in hair school washed my hair! After the shampoo Allison, who said she was very skilled in doing natural hair turns on a blow dryer and starts racking through my scalp! She did not detangle or section my hair, let alone put a heat protectant on my hair! My hair was very wet and it was dripping down in my face! I had to ask for a towel! When I asked her did she use anything on my hair to protect it, she gets in defense mode and asks me, did u bring anything?? She also proceeded to tell me that everyone is different and she does not put oil or anything on natural hair because when you flat iron it, it will melt into the hair!!! Was she serious??? Every natural diva knows our hair needs a heat protectant, it needs detangling and it dang sure needs oil so it wont be dry looking! Im now confused bcuz you claim to be a professionally skilled stylist in natural hair! I tell Allison that due to her lack of professionalism and not knowing how to properly treat the health of my natural hair that I wanted to end the services!! I looked so crazy ladies!! My hair was partially wet and sticking up on my head in a big fro! She insists I owe her $20.00 for the wash! I tell her she deserves $5.00 or $10.00 due to the service! After Allison's insults and threatening nature, I proceed to leave! She and her daughter and a friend try to jump/fight me!! They blocked me in from leaving! Called me all kinds of names! How professional and friendly is that??? This is a ghetto salon with a ghetto/hood salon owner! Ladies be ware! Any sorors a part of Delta Sigma Theta please do not give this salon your business!!

I just had to share this, I had an appointment at another salon however my stylist was not able to see me ( I was 20 minutes late) so I found Uptown Weave Café on line and my experience was great. I had a 11 appointment for a full sew-in and I was in and out in less than two hours. Ladies if your looking for professional stylist that get you in and out you have to try this place, I have been getting hair extensions for a long time and I have never had a sew-in like this one.

I was introduced to Uptown Weave Cafe by a very close friend of mines while visiting Charlotte from New York, and I must say this place is one if a kind. I was not sure how I wanted my hair but the receptionist helped me to pick a style that is to dye for. The salon was very clean and friendly, thanks Uptown Weave Cafe, I will be see in you ladies real soon.
