They handle your pet as if it is human. They have a well known reputation for doing what's best for you and your pet and their own benefit is of low priority in the decisions and diagnoses they make. This is a doctors office/hospital before it is a business. My Bailey girl recently became mysteriously paralyzed from the waste down and within minutes of arrival (on a day when they were not seeing patients and the vet just happened to be in) Dr. Benedict gave her a suspected diagnosis and gave us three options, pressing that the most favorable one and what he would do if in our position would be to take her to a Neurologist/Neurosurgeon in the city (due to their nationally recognized capabilities), although he definitely had an opportunity to make a lot of money off us by attempting the surgery himself. He sent us off with no charge. We took her to the Neurosurgeon and received an almost verbatim diagnosis after an MRI which we found very impressive that he was able to determine that in only a few moments. We have also seen some of the other vets and trust them all with our fur babies lives. I was also previously employed there as a Vet Tech over 15 years ago at which time there were still many of the same vets there currently are and never witnessed anything short of the utmost professionalism and pure love for each animal.

Will never take my pets anyplace else. Been using tidewater for 20 years. Love them. Great doctors and staff

Had a pet emergency and this clinic stayed open until they could see my dog.

the staff is very friendly, and caring towards the animals. We had an emergency and were seen right away. The doctor called us on a Saturday just to see how our dog was.
