Founded in 1938, Champaign County YMCA is a social and welfare organization that offers a variety of programs for active adults, youths and senior citizens. It provides fitness classes, health and wellness seminars, educational classes, personalized training programs and various sports leagues. Champaign County YMCA organizes day, family and resident camps that include field trips, games, swimming, and arts and crafts. It also offers character development, citizenship and social service programs in collaboration with local school districts. The organization additionally provides child care programs for infants, preschoolers and higher-grade students. It maintains a presence in Champaign, Ill.
