I called to schedule an appointment as a new patient. I needed a check up and to order contacts. From the very beginning, the secretary was rude. She answered the phone with no greeting; all she said was "doctor's office". Then I asked if the doctors would be able to order hard contacts. She let out a sigh of disgust like this was a problem and continued with attitude. She asked for my name and I proceeded to tell her. My last name is hyphenated so I spelled out the first part. Before I could get to the second part, she made a rude comment about how odd that name was. I continued to spell out the second part and she then said "o geeze, just to make it worse, you have to add that on!" I couldn't believe how ignorant one person could be. I ended up canceling my appointment!! As a physician myself, I was utterly disgusted with the service she was providing. She set a negative tone for the practice that I do not want to be a part of. The physicians of the group may be great doctors, but I will never know because of their secretary!
