The company is a wholesale supplier of the seafood brand Ocean Rose, a natural and preservative-free abalone steak. Live abalone is found in sushi bars and Asian restaurants and is served as hors'doeuvres, appetizers and entr es. The firm s aquaculture methods are recognized as being environmentally friendly. Live abalone is shipped out of the water in oxygen-filled bags and packed in styrofoam containers with gel ice packs. The company offers a wide range of abalone recipes on its Web site. Abalone Farm has its headquarters in Cayucos, Calif.
