WARNING: THIS PHARMACY IS SUSPECT TO EXTREME PRICE INCREASES ON COMMON PAIN MEDS! Due to the Opioid Crisis, Walmart has used the banned or red flagged opioid pain prescription meds to (1) jack up prices up to 4 X or more, and (2) use new manufacturers who are passing through the FDA modified mixtures of the medicines’ compounds.
These bunk overpriced pills are being sold to unsuspecting patients who might notice strange or sweet taste and/or different side effects than with prior use in or before August 2018.
How this compromising is going to do anything to curb those who abuse, overdose or commit suicide with opioids is unknown. Most likely seniors 60 years & over will be punished by (1) denying filling legitimate prescriptions to them (2) grossly overcharging patients in these types of meds, also refusing discount cards or coupons, and (3) selling inferior or poisonous substitutes that slip past FDA and are approved to sell to the public.
Not only are both opioid pain meds and synthetic opioid meds (Tramadol) on the blacklist but, according to GoodRX.com and other sources, without warning other common drugs such as antidepressants, muscle relaxants, anti spasmodics, mild sedatives, sleep meds, and anti anxiety meds are all being added to the banned list by Walmart. And pulled off the market!
I spent $85 on refill of Norco then had to destroy almost all 120 pills with a powder that turns the pills into a blob of goo. The Walmart pharmacist told me to dispose of them & gave me a packet of dissolving powder. Walmart totally ripped me off & now I have a tramadol script they denied yet kept my paper script so that I could not take it to another pharmacy. If you can do that, do it. Inform your doctor you need to change to a different pharmacy!
Walmart Pharmacy is going to lose business by hurting a lot of elderly people who live with chronic pain as I do. Buyer beware!!! Don’t use Walmart anymore because they changed their policies to the extreme. It will benefit no one but the drug companies and corrupt greedy pharmacies.
