Dawn is far and away the best option for your kitty boarding needs in Asheville and the surrounding areas. My wife and I vacationed out of state for nearly a week and were terrified at the thought of boarding our 2 kittens. There are so many horror stories out there and many of them are rooted in reality. This was not the case with Dawn and her Only Cats boarding service. We received text and picture updates every day we were gone and continuously reassured that our girls were in the right hands. Dawn is so nurturing and sweet. She truly cares for each and every cat she looks after. Having to board your pet can be a stressful experience, but it doesn't have to be. We needed a longer term boarding situation while we moved into the Asheville area. Although not as slick looking as another place (it is ver clean) we liked the amount of space and toys available when a cat is allowed out of their their tiered condo. Cats can observe bird feeders through the window. Our cat is quite social and likes to check in with other boarders (some of whom hiss, some of whom seem to reciprocate). Dawn will supervise the cats being allowed out together if it seems they want to play together. Our cat has made friends there and sulks when he gets home. Dawn keeps in touch with us through texting on how our cat is doing (she appears flexible about that and does include pictures).
For emergencies, there is a vet on call nearby. We are very happy to have found this cats only boarding service.
