Lake Lanier Smiles

These people are amazing. I have PTSD along with pretty bad anxiety. They make me feel comfortable and safe every time I interact them on any level. In the past, when I would visit other dentists, there was always judgment and fear, both things I need to avoid, but not here. So I have to give a little bit of a back-story here.. I grew up very poor and food was more important than dental hygiene. As a result my teeth were in horrible shape by the time I was 18. At some point in my childhood my pancreas was damaged beyond repair, so my body doesn't absorb calcium (I am on the right medications now and the problem is pretty much fixed). So my teeth and bones are easily broken. In short, when I go to the dentist I expect to be treated with little to no respect. I expect to be embarrassed and ashamed. That has never happened at Lake Lanier Smiles. They have changed my life and the way I look in the mirror. We still have a long way to go, but with Dr. Richardson and the amazing staff at Lake Lanier Smiles, I have hope.
