Trust me, my toy poodle looked like a movie star ready for Hollywood or the show ring when I picked her up after she was groomed. I had to leave my sun glasses on as she glowed, glittered and sparkled so much from her excellent grooming! I had tried the other two groomers in the neighborhood a number of times before being "guided" to Rocco and Jezebel. Most important was the groomer's extra extra work in cleaning my dog's ears that these other groomers had apparently not bothered with much. I nearly cried when I saw the humongus amount of debris that had been left by them. My dog was saved from serious ear infection. Thank God for Andrea! Also when I asked for clean paws I got really clean paws vs having over an eighth of an inch of fur left on paws by the other two groomers (perhaps so I would have to return sooner for grooming?) She had time to talk to me vs just robotically usher me out when I had questions. Also she tailored and priced her services according to what was actually needed and not needed which I gratefully appreciated. I'm a customer for life!

Andrea is a wealth of knowledge and she genuinely loves the pets she cares for. I can't believe there's so much heart in such a small store. They seem to remember everyone's name, and more importantly every pet's name.

i walked into this little shop by chance and was pleasantly pleased to say the least. Situated on a cobble and brick lined pathway of small stores, it is an oasis of UNIQUE doggie coats, rainwear, beds, carriers, food bowls and toys...great selection of organic edibles ( no commercial brands sold here), honest and informative customer service, and what they don't know, they research. I was not pressured to make a purchase, not followed about the store. the owner ( or store manager?) even closed the front door so that my two chihuahuas could roam and explore uninhibited which allowed me the freedom to browse and shop without having to worry about my "" kiddies"" making a nuisance or a ""deposit"", ( i had wondered about the chewed toys here and there and now i understood why) my kiddies played and chewed away while i browsed the store. truly pet friendly and plently of sample tidbits for the kiddies to feast on. on a subsequent trip for supplies, and planning a vacation I asked to see their boarding kennels. their pet tech promptly escorted me to a lower level where i found clean kennels, lots of doggie beds and blankets, a clean pet-food prep area, and cubbies for each ""guest"". Mind you , nothing fancy, but my kiddies don""t need fancy, they need TLC. i did end up booking a few days and my kiddies were happy campers!

Dont think this place really hits the mark for a really good pet place. they never seem like they are doing anything other than someone knitting in the front of the store. Dogs tied to the counter and if you wanna see the kennel they say make an appointment. Werid that you can just see it. What do they have to fix before you stop in. Makes me wonder.

I had walked in to make an appointment. In the amount of time it took to take my information I had heard more about why the other groomers in the area were so terrible and why this place was so stunning. I just irked me that I heard more about a shop down the block on Hicks Street. I made the appointment with this place because the other two were booked, now I can see why. To the owner (if you were the one I talked to) should learn business tact. Dont make your self look great by making others seem terrible. I left not getting my dog groomed and am now waiting for my appointment at the competitor. I should have just done that from the start. You might have had a new client if you just told me more about you and less about why the other place is so terrible. Liset a new Brooklyn Heights reisdent

when you compare the dogs in the area being groomed on a regular basis at the doggie parks you really see the difference of shops. This place really drops the ball on skill. they are sorta the generic Costco cutting lemon tree skilled place, where as the other two groomers are 100 time above their skill. I used these guys for my maltese and tried to give them a chance but they just can seem to groom. and you pay the same price. Try lets pets or perfect paws they both blow this place out of the water a 100% and you pay the same price.

Rocco and Jezebel is like a home away from home for my 4-year-old rescue greyhound (and for me - I think we're both equally excited anytime we get a chance to stop by). This deceivingly petite shop offers the gamut of services, from comprehensive grooming to a big air-conditioned kennel for boarding, plus dog walking and home cat sitting. The products are upscale and hand-picked by the owner, Andrea, with an emphasis on holistic and organic foods and chemical-free pet-health products. She has an awesome selection of collars and leashes and the cutest dog apparel you can imagine, plus all kinds of yummy treats and groovy toys. Hands down the best thing about this shop, though, is the welcoming, friendly atmosphere and personal attention that Andrea and her staff give each and every customer. It's a delightful place to spend time. I can also vouch for Rocco and Jezebel's dog-walking services: Andrea personally walks my dog three to four times a week and she has been instrumental -- no, essential -- in facilitating his adjustment to life here in Brooklyn after spending the first 3 1/2 years of his life on a Florida dog track. This woman understands and adores animals and it shows. Rocco and Jezebel epitomizes everything that's good about small local businesses. You can really feel good about spending your money here, and your pets will benefit too. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I appreciated that the staff at Rocco and Jezebal actually treated my dog like it was their own and were happy to look after him.
