Dr. Godell was fine but his office manager is beyond rude. It took two phone calls to get my husband, 3 children and myself scheduled for an appointments. Initially, the children were scheduled for two separate days but then the scheduler said; although it is uncommon, she could get them all in the same day but we would have to wait over a month and I thought fine. I got a phone call one morning from the office asking if I was going to be there any time soon as my child was scheduled that morning. I called back and explained that I have a different date written down for the appointment. I was told that the date I had written was impossible and that I got confirmation cards in the mail. If they were sent, I never received them. Then ten minutes later I received a call from Samantha, the office manager. She told me that she confirmed the appointments with me the prior week when we spoke about information they needed from my families prior dentists. However,there was no confirmation. At the end of the previous conversation samantha said if they don't receive the X-rays in time they will have to cancel next weeks appointments. I brushed off what she said as it was the end of the conversation and I assumed she mis spoke Bc I knew I didn't have any appointments for two more weeks. Anyway, Samantha called me back after I explained to the receptionist that I had a different date written down for the appointment and thats why we missed our appointments. Samantha said it wasn't going to work for me and my family to Be patients there and that she is cancelling all remaining appointments! I am dumb founded. I have never been treated so disrespectful. Why would I lie? If I messed up the dates then I would admit that I messed up the dates. Not only did their office make a mistake in scheduling but they accused me of lying and denied me and my 3 small children of service!

I've been going to Dr. Goodell for at least 25 years. Before him, I've had at least 5 other dentists. Trust me when I say, you will not find a better dentist.

I was afraid of dentists. I have had some really bad experiences that have caused me to have unhealthy anxiety and fear of going to the denstist. Because of these fears, I've neglected routine care. This created a downward spiral-- I'm afraid to go to the dentist and because of that, my teeth were suffering and my problems grew worse. I'm 30 years old, my teeth are the most insecure aspect of my self image and I was needing more work than I could bring myself to admit.

I met with Dr. Goodell and Sam after being told they were very good working with patients who've had negative dental experiences. I needed many fillings replaced, multiple crowns, and I was scared.

The entire staff was very supportive and professional in dealing with my fears. I had each proceedure explained to me so that I could understand what was to be done and what the desired result was. I was dealt with very honestly and with compassion. Yes, my teeth needed help, but it was nothing that couldn't be fixed.

Thank you Walt, Sam, and everyone else for everything--not only did you make much needed improvements to my teeth, you might have even fixed my head ;-) I couldn't be happier with the services and treatment you provided me with.

I met Dr. Goodell several years ago. He’s been my wife’s dentist since 2004. My long time dentist told me that I was having periodontal problems and that I would need surgery to correct the pockets and he had given me information for contacting a dental surgeon to have the surgery done. I just continued to put it off. I’m not big into pain.

In November of 2009 I thought that I might have chipped or cracked a tooth. My wife was extremely happy with Dr. Goodell and his wonderful staff. I really liked the staff from my visits with my wife, so I thought that it was a good time for me to change dentists. I made my appointment.

Dr. Goodell found that the tooth was not cracked but extremely loose. He also noticed my other periodontal problems. I had been putting off having the surgery recommended by my former dentist because, as I said, I’m not into pain at all! Dr. Goodell explained the Laser LANAP procedure to me and it sounded good. He also explained that it is not covered by insurance in this state, but it is in MOST other states. Here, in Michigan, it is still considered experimental, and there are some interesting reasons for that, but it is not an experimental procedure. Do a little Internet research and you can learn a lot more about it.

The first procedure was completed one day, with the follow up a week later. It is not totally painless, since I could feel the numbing shots, but not much and not too bad. There was hardly any noticeable pain on the days following either procedure, although my diet was somewhat restricted and I had to use a special mouth rinse.

It has been almost a year now. I no longer get food stuck between my teeth and in the pockets. Overall my teeth feel better than they have in decades. The big, huge, gigantic thing is that that loose tooth is now firmly in my jaw once again! He didn’t guarantee it, but said that that might happen with the Laser LANAP procedure, and it did! I’m very happy to still have all of my teeth at 64!

Thank you Dr. Goodell and your great staff as well. It was worth every penny, even if my insurance didn’t cover it. I cannot recommend Dr. Goodell highly enough.

I went to Dr. Goodell for many years and would continue to see him if I hadn't moved out of state.



Over the years, I have been pleased by the care and concern shown not only be Dr. Goodell, but also the hygienists and office staff. Over the years, I've gotten regular checkup/cleanings, some fillings, and an NTI. The NTI has saved me from daily headaches, and I credit the staff here for helping me figure out what was causing them (clenching my teeth while I sleep) and helping prevent them.



I have yet to have a more positive dental experience than I had here. Go here!

My family moved here over 8 years ago and were very happy to find Dr. Goodell. I had cosmetic dentistry on my upper front teeth that look amazing; he does great work. My husband has had many bad dental experiences in the past and hated going to the dentist until he met Dr. Goodell. He appreciates that Dr. Goodell is kind, compassionate, and GENTLE; he is no longer afraid of going to the dentist. My daughter is 7 years old and loves getting her teeth cleaned by Ms. Tami. We love Dr. Goodell and his staff!

I have been seeing Dr. Goodell since I was very young. He has always been very gentle and patient and answered all of my questions in detail. He made me a device called an NTI to help with me clenching and grinding my teeth. Since I started wearing it I no longer have migranes!! I get headaches very seldom now as well. He takes care to listen to my concerns and make sure I am happy before I leave. I reccommend him highly!

BEWARE!!! Dr Goodell performs experiments on humans without telling them. His office called telling us my husband had to have surgery or he literally risked dying or heart disease from periodontal concerns. We could not afford the procedure and told them so. They assured us our insurance would cover the $4000 LASER LANAP surgery expense and it was already preapproved by our carrier. She even wrote out a payment plan explaining what the insurance carrier agreed to. Turns out insurance did not cover it because it is EXPERIMENTAL! Had we known we would have gone with a traditional medical procedure that is covered. The office manager SAM promised to handle it assuring us they knew our situation and would never require us to handle this expense since they promised it was covered. She told us 6 other clients were experiencing the same problem but they were handling all of the cases. We are battling the insurance company and now SAM is threatening to sue us!! They have destroyed our PERFECT credit sending the bill to creditors to harass us while we work with the insurance company. Not to mention the good Doctor put an NTI device in my mouth claiming it would keep me from clenching, instead it threw my jaw off causing me to need $7000 worth of braces at age 38! Three different doctors told me he put it in incorrectly and his solution was to saw down all my teeth (I wouldn't let him, he's like Frankenstein). I had braces in high school and now I have to do it all over again. This place is a mess, you will be robbed, experimented on and lied to BEWARE!!

I have been going to Dr. Goodell for over 25 years. I started as a teenager, and have stayed with him since then. I am now married with 4 kids, and he is the only dentist that my kids have ever known! The staff is always friendly and helpful with any questions or scheduling changes. I could not recommend Dr. Goodell and his staff more highly!!!
