General Info

St. Martin Parish Government serves a population of 48,000 people in Louisiana. The government operates various departments, such as administration, recreation, public works, and planning and zoning. Its animal control department promotes responsible pet ownership through the education of related matters, such as the importance of realistic population control, vaccinations and licensing, and applicable laws and ordinances. St. Martin Parish Government s Section 8 housing department utilizes funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and supplements the rental payments of low-income families to the property owner on behalf of family. Its fire district consists of volunteer fire departments operating at more than 10 sites and totaling a membership of over 280 firefighters.
